According to a recent interview translated by TheHylia, Miyamoto is now starting to build up his "sister-meter." Previously, Miyamoto spoke at GDC about increasing his wife-o-meter, and using it as an indicator of how successful his games were at attracting non-gamers and people who never played games before. One can only assume that Miyamoto feels that progress on that front has been good, and is now turning to convert another close non-gamer with Phantom Hourglass.

Finally, some words to my sister (laughs). Link is cute, really; particularly this Link with cat eyes. I'd like you to watch the characters animated in a 3-D world on the DS screen. This game doesn't use the complicated cross pad, so anyone can have a fun adventure intuitively. Please, give it a try.

Hardcore gamers, eat your heart out. Miyamoto cares more about his sister than he does about you.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

I'd like to fill up his sister's meter, if you know what I mean.  wink wink
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I'm surprised it took until the fourth post for someone to make that joke.
