I heard Harrison make a similar comment quite awhile ago, so I’d imagine it’s not only a possibility; I’d guess translations could very well be underway now. Sin & Punishment is the obvious first choice because of the heavy amount of English already in it (just menus and the end are the big things that need translating) but it’s exciting to hear more talk of this. Fire Emblem games could also be a big one—I actually thought of them before thinking of S&P for some odd reason. It’d be cool to see Mother, or even things for 64DD like Doshin the Giant or the track editor for F-Zero X, yet the latter two I suppose are very remote possibilities.
I’m a Sin & Punishment freak. I think it’s easily one of the greatest N64 games and a masterpiece of gaming IMO. It’s really tragic it was never released here. Back in the PGC days, NOA was hinting it could be released (both on the record and off) and there was even mentions in Nintendo Power and a U.S. Sin & Punishment website that never went live. Then there’s also the fact it showed up on that survey for VC games that was circulating some time back. It’s only a matter of time, though part of me still thinks it’s too good to be true.
For those who have never played, it’s amazing, albeit short. Still, with all the difficulty levels (with significant changes in things like enemies & boss battles) and high speed modes, it’s still something I come back to play a lot. Every level is completely different and nuttier than the last and the storyline is very much like much anime where you don’t understand the parts until you get the whole picture.
For a good overview of S&P
