I enjoy guessing blindly the first night. That's how I killed the leader of the opposing mafia during the first game. FIRST KILL BITCHES.

(I wasn't too hot during the second game though >_>)

The townies don't have too much power, it's just two of the Mafia bigwigs were taken out early. Stop being bitter. If those random his knocked out the Citizens Emissanary and Deputy townies would be in protest.

I told pryo on day one that I was gonna die on the third day of this great battle.
I had foreseen my death and knew that changing the future could have some unexpeted and wildy outrageous results.

But the only reason I was in that bank was because of a mysterious letter that I had reciecved on the morning of the 3rd day:

If only I had payed attention to the letter a little more closely, I would have known it was a trap set-up by stevey to finally exact his revenge.

It's not that townies are too powerful. It's that this game is a bit too random for my liking.

For example, if the cop finds one of the defenders the townies pretty much win the game. The defenders can protect the cop everynight and the doctor can protect one of the defenders. It makes it almost impossible for the mafia to win.

On the other hand, if team Xbox forms, it's almost impossible for the townies to win. Three mafias--one which gets to kill every night--makes it nearly impossible for the townies to win. With two people dying each night, it's very hard to win even if the cop discovers who the defenders are.

To top it off, the downtrodden man throws everyone for a loop. If he chooses unwisely, the townies are screwed because three of them die. If he gets a lucky guess, up to two mafia members can die in a single night. But since the downtrodden man doesn't get to choose when to strike, more often than not he's going to be left taking a shot in the dark and hoping he gets at least one mafia member.

The game is meant to be random. The joy of Mafia is the unpredictability and the way the tide can turn so easily.
