General Gaming / If you have been to the Zelda concert..

approximately how long is the performance?
 
I'm going to the Austin concert. I'm taking a bus from San Antonio. The concert starts at 8, and the last bus is at 1050.  I will need to take a cab from the performance back to the bus station, and I'm thinking I will have about 45 minutes or so, assuming the concert is 2 hours.
 
Can anyone whose been to the other performaces confirm this?

Are the characters cross platform compatible? If I buy the 3DS version, can I use the figures on the Wii, assuming I have the game disk?
 
This sounds like an interesting game. Skylanders or Mario 3DS?  ( I will be able to get Mario for a long time in the future)

Being a big Disney fan that I am, this seems really fun. And the concept seems great. I prefer gaming on Wii than to PS3, but there is so much more possibility for expansion and I just don't think Wii will get DLC, if the other games provide it. If it dosen't have it on those either, then I will go for the Wii version.

and the first game to use it will be... Super Mario 3DS Land!   or the new Layton...

I could see the first Nintendo game to support it being Kid Icarus.  SM3DSL doesn't look like the kind of game that'll really need it.  The same goes for Layton, unless it ends up being a 3D exploration game rather than a P&C puzzle game.  Barring Kid Icarus, I could see Nintendo really using this for a 3DS-exclusive Zelda game.

yeah, I mean SM3DSL and Layton as a joke..

Did Nintendo forget something? Or are they trying to gain more third party support?
 
It's a little odd.. I hope it can be used to replicate the facebuttons, but more than likely the developer has to program for it. Too bad, one of my favorites is Geometry Wars Galaxies..

Nintendo Gaming / NES VC icons on 3DS

We all know what the Gameboy and GB Color icons look like. It shows the title screen in a chopped off Gamboy or GB Color, on the upper screen. It has a nice trundicated look, spinning in the middle of the screen, even encluding the buldge in the back of the GBC for the batteries.
 
However how will the NES games look? Will it have a tv with the title screen on it and an NES controller coming out? Personally, I think it would be neat if they had the cartridge itself, with the actual sticker and everything. Plus Zelda could be done on a gold cartridge
 
Your thoughts?

I got an error message when I tried to go onto the store today. The error message I got was :
   Error Code: 005-4800  Nintendo eShop
An error occurred while attempting to connect to the Nintendo eShop. Power off your system and try again.

If you continue to experience problems, please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance. 
I called Nintendo. They say it would be back up 4pm PST. Apparently they are doing an update to the store.

i bought on ps3 when it was on sale.. I think i paid 11.00 for it.. I'll gladly get the Wii version to have a physical copy. It's a great game. I'd like to support them!

I have the GBA cart, and it is not accessible as a single player game. Once you start it, it searches for the game link cable. So, idk what they are going to do with the game.

I spoke with the RFN crew on 250, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had trouble with  3D. That is great you got it fixed though! Congrats on that.
And the fact that you have so many games, regardless of that tells me that maybe it's not all about 3D to begin with I did pick up a 3DS myself to get the Ambasador program.

I bought one of the notebooks, the blue one.. it's handy when you cant find anything else. However I don't use it that much.
I don't know why they would need to put out like the 15 ones that they have already! Three different colors would have been enough.

Hey NWR Crew! Remember me, Joseph? I called in on 250, and asked a question about the 3DS, concerned that I couldn't see in 3D...


Well, as I said there, I love portable gaming and I guess these 20 free games are what I needed to buy the system. I picked one up the other day! Still can't see it in 3D, but I still enjoy the system   but it's a little underwelming. Like a suped up DS.
