I got Batman: Arkham City - Armored Edition on Sunday, despite owning the PS3 version. I couldn't resist with the cheap price and enhanced features.

Thanks for the reminder. We picked up Luigi's Mansion with the system so it's a perfect deal for us. Getting Super Mario Land.

So in the end we got:

3DS XL $169.99
Luigi's Mansion $39.99
Mario Land $0.00

$210 ($230 if you include taxes :P ) for an XL and two major games was quite the steal. That's $70 in savings!

Is it possible to buy download codes for Wii U games in retail stores for the same price as their pysical counter parts? Say I buy a download code for Arkham City Wii U for $19.99 at Best Buy and then download it at home on my Wii U?

GameStop sells them for 3DS games, I'm not sure about Wii U. I'm pretty sure Best Buy does not.

Virtually every one I ordered was in a generic case, generic insert, no manual.
At these prices I can live with that. I just hope mine don't come in sleeves like some people have reported. I plan to print out some inserts if they at least have a generic case, so they should look decent on the shelf.

4 of the games I ordered arrived, all of them work and look like they're in good condition.  Starfox wasn't in with the rest of the games, I'm thinking they cancelled it without telling me but the others for a total of $6.70 is a steal.

I'm in the market for some Dillon and Crash Mobs.

Also, Fun Fun Minigolf is actually quite, erm, fun. Recommended, especially at that price.

Wii U Fifa 13 $19.99

I've played that game for 60 hours and am still playing it to this day. It's one of the best uses of the GamePad so far in the life of the system. I know you probably don't want to support EA, but if you have any interest in soccer you owe it to yourself to own that game.

I bought a Wii U at Target today for 239.99. (I had to go to the service desk to get the price adjusted.) Then I went to GameStop and got Nintendo Land for 19.99 used.

In all, $90 less then the black Wii U. I'd rather have $90 than some plastic stands and a tiny bit more space. (And I doubt I'd download more than a few cheap games.)

So, I'm pretty happy with the price.

Now.... Pikmin 3. Bring it, Nintendo.

EDIT: Oh, so, thanks for the tip, guys.

I need to look online for deals...

However, I've been slacking on playing games I already have.

-I need to play through Xenoblade.
-I need to play through Assassin's Creed Revelations (360) that someone lent to me.
-I need to play Batman: Arkham Asylum (360) before buying (or at least playing) Arkham City.
-I need to play Bayonetta (360).

Now that I'm over the "hump" of buying the hardware, there are so many games that seem totally worth it (for the right price)-

-Darksiders 2 looks interesting.
-Assassin's Creed III (if I like the other one; I've never played one)
-Batman: Arkham City (after Asylum)
-ZombiU looks interesting.
-NSMB U if cheap. 10 year old me can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm kind of burnt out on 2D Mario games, so I'm in no rush to pick this one up, but this is an inevitable purchase.
-Need For Speed Most Wanted because I loved Burnout 3 and I haven't bought a game like this since then (I wish I got this when EA was doing their 1/2 price Origin deal).

There are other games that look tempting, but these are the ones I'd most likely pick up first.

For all PAL gamers

http://www.game.co.uk/en/donkey-kong-country-returns-3d-216523?cm_sp=home-_-gamerecommends-_-donkeykong

Game.co.uk sells DKC 3DS download codes for ÂŁ29.99 (~35 Euro) which is slightly cheaper than price on eShop or other retailers.

People who bought Fire Emblem from Game said it will work in any country as long as it's PAL. I am very tempted about it myself for the moment, and shipping to my country sucks these days especially hard...

So, I got the Wii U on Sunday, went to work, then set up the Wii U, downloaded updates and checked out Miiverse, etc.

Monday, I spent the day with my family.

Tuesday, I went to work (I work at a deli) and I cut through my thumb with the meat slicer... so I pretty much can't play games until my thumb heals (which doctors say will heal fine).

2 days in, and my Wii U is a glorified Netflix player. >_<

However, in preparation for a healed thumb, I ordered DarkSiders 2 and a Wii U Pro Controller from Amazon. It was about $37 for each, and I had a $50 amazon gift card from Christmas, so I only actually paid about $25. I feel like the best deals right now are on Amazon.

Soon, I'll want a stand for the controller and an external HD and I'll be good to go w/ hardware.
