Hey dude, that's better than me. I managed about 700k as a high score I think. I hope they release an update that allows "horse" to be played online.  There's probably a bunch of 12 year olds out there we could learn how to get high scores from

I'm pretty sure that's what nintendo was on when they though DK Barrel Blast was a good idea...

to be fair to GTA, 2 of the sequels were The "Stories" games which are more like spin offs already.  They came out with budget pricetags which was really smart on ROckstar's part.  Just to be able to go back and play in GTA3's city with motorcycles is worth the price of admission.

I rented Smarty Pants and it's actually quite good. Me and the wife played a few hours of it last weekend. I found that the questions repeat a little too quickly but at least there is a setting so it doesn't show you the answer unless you get it right.  I don't think i'd pay $50 for it but if it drops to $30 i'd seriously consider it.  I think any board game that comes out on a cosole should be priced as if it was a real board game...

Wait, isn't this one of the games made by the Ninjabread Man developer?  If so it's a safe bet it's going be in a future episode of "The Angry Video Game Nerd"

You can definately tell that it's DMA (Rockstar North) developing GTA4. It has the same crappy yet strangly endearing animation and graphics and looks fun as hell.

As far as this Mario vs GTA orginality contest, I would say both are not entirely original. Mario Galaxy is a platformer (although a damn good one) and GTA4 is a sandbox crime game.  At least GTA isn't whored out to every other genre like Mario is.  I'm pretty sure Nintendo is working on "Mario, Amature Mushroom Land Gynecologist" and "Mario's Repo Man Fiesta"

You hit the nail right on the head with your review.  Based on the content included I think it should have been a $4.99 game. I'm sure there will be more stages, characters and hopefully online play coming which will likely all cost money to download.

Really fun game, at least for a few hours.

7/10

I was just thinking the same thing. I still can't find any reviews for it. Hopefully it's as good as it's board game counterpart.

That's a fair statement. Sorry, I get a little fired up.  I guess that makes me an Uncharted fanboy

I'm just negative against rip off clones of another system. This game is obnoxiously obvious that it is based fully off Gears of War, but in a jungle setting with boring people enemies. It is NOTHING compared to Ratchet and Clank which I feel is a great PS3 game, and it isn't even as good as Heavenly Sword which I really enjoyed it.

I hate to break it to you but you can't make a game anymore these days without having similarities to another game. Gears of War isn't even all that original.  I've played Gears and i've played Uncharted and they are completely different other than a few shooting mechanics.  I guess you just don't get uncharted and that fine but let the people who enjoyed the game and want to chat about it post in this thread.  Leave your negativity at the door.

Well I played a couple hours of the full game this morning and I can definatly say that the demo doesn't do the final game justice.   It's still the same great game but the story is just fantastic.  It's definately a toss up between uncharted and ratchet and clank for best exclusive PS3 game right now.

article and trailer here

This upcoming downloadable PS3 game looks kinda fun. I'm sure wiisports bowling has nothing to fear though.  I just hope it's better than Brunswick bowling on the Wii. I'm glad I kept my extra wiimote straps because the last thing I need is a SIXAXIS thrown through my TV!

I think it's pretty "meh"
The VC offers games that you can't buy anymore except on ebay and at flea markets. Plus the Xbox emulation on the 360 is complete garbage. If I did want to play Xbox games I would just buy the discs so as not to eat up all the hard drive space.

So how was the ending?

Yeah, it's a little on the short side. I just beat is this morning. Probably about 8 hours or play time to beat.  I got about the same enjoyment out of it as a 20 hour game though and now I have unlimited amounts of online beatdowns to look forward to.

spoiler: the nuclear explosion scene is one of the best cutscenes i've ever seen in a game. Combined with the death of your American character after the explosion was the highlight of the story for me.

Anybody tried the demo yet?  It was short by oh so sweet!  The graphics are at least as good as call of duty 4 and the controls are almost spot on.  The animation is top notch and really carries the presentation of the game.  The one thing that I didn't like was that when you are taking cover behind something, you can't see where your reticule will be aimed when you pop out.  For example:  you press O to take cover behind something like a stone tablet.  You can peek around the corners to see where the bad guys are.   When you press L1, Drake will step out from cover to shoot. Unfortunately, you can only approximate where your reticule will be when you leave cover because it doesn't show until you step out.  It isn't a huge deal.  Overall, this looks to be one of, if not the best game so far on PS3.

Just picked it up yesterday for the PS3. It's pretty sweet.  I played a couple hours of single player and just 1 match of team deathmatch online. The single player experience can be summerized by the word "frantic". No matter what's happening in the game there is almost always a hail of gunfire heading your way. There is very little down time.  Deaths by grenade are inevitable. The bad guys seem to find ways to throw grenades near you no matter where you're hiding.  The grenades are a little frustrating and sometimes seem pretty cheap. It really adds to the diffculty though. I only played 1 online match. I got slaughtered. No frags for me and 4 deaths. I guess practice makes perfect.

All in all, best COD games since the first one.

A little tech question for ya

I have a 250gig USB HD and I want to hook it up to my PC and PS3 at the same time.  Is this possible?  I bought a USB hub and I figure I might be able to hook it up in reverse (main USB hub end to the USB drive and seperate cords to the PS3 and PC).

Anybody have an answer for me?
Thanks
