I'm looking at this TV to purchase sometime in the  fall: http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-42LB5600-led-tv

I need to find out the sound quality and I wish it had 3 HDMI inputs.
Just get a reciever and some speakers, both problems solved.

Space and layout is an issue.

Then just get a bigger house, jeez, do we have to think of everything for you?

Plasma always had the better black levels and colors (especially the bright bold one) but generally cost three times as much and they run hot (the can eat 400 watts which is a considerable amount of heat).

LED's are still the better gaming option IMO due to the fact plasma still have burn in's issues which is not covered by a warranty (a buddy of mine found that out the hard way).

While I *loathe* this store, H.H. Gregg has two 40" 1080p LED LCD TVs for $250 this week.

And a better brand in general, though I don't think it's the same Philips from years back. Nice find.

Personally I would stay away, unless it's manufacturer refurbished.
