Game Live Events Announces First Ever "2003 College Game Life Tour"


National 13 City College Tour to Feature Top Video Games and Special 'Beta' Previews of New Game Titles From EA SPORTS(tm), EA SPORTS BIG(tm), EA GAMES(tm), Rockstar, Ubi Soft, Midway, the U.S. Army, THQ(r) and Vivendi Universal Games


SAN FRANCISCO - (April 1, 2003) - Game Live Events, one of the country's leading producers of live video game and PC touring events, today announced their first ever "2003 College Game Life Tour." The 13 stop College tour begins on Friday, April 4th in Philadelphia, PA at Temple University and runs through Tuesday, April 29th in Chico, CA at Chico State University.


This tour marks the first time video games and PC games will be featured in an industry wide event on major college campuses throughout the US. The tour will feature this spring season's most highly anticipated video and PC game titles.  The tour will showcase titles that are in final build beta version or current first stage launch including Def Jam VENDETTA(tm) from EA SPORTS BIG(tm), MVP Baseball(tm) 2003 from EA SPORTS(tm), Midnight Club 2(tm) from Rockstar Games, Midway Sports(tm) MLB(tm) SlugFest(r) 20-04 from, America's Army from the U.S. Army, NBA STREET Vol. 2 from EA SPORTS BIG(tm), Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell(tm),  Rayman(r) 3: Hoodlum Havoc and Murakumo(tm) Renagade Mech Pursuit from Ubi Soft Entertainment(tm) and Run Like Hell(tm) from Vivendi Universal Games.


More than 20 titles will be featured on a state-of-the-art, 50-screen Game Live interactive 'GamePort' system from publishing partners Electronic Arts(tm), Rockstar Games, Ubi Soft Entertainment(tm), THQ(r), Midway, the U.S. Army and Vivendi Universal Games.  PC partners include Alienware(r) Ultimate Gaming Machines - the Official Tour PC, ATI Technologies RADEON 9700 PRO Graphics Card - the Official Graphics Card and the NYKO "Air Flo(tm)" controller - the Official Video Game Controller.  G4(r), the cable TV network dedicated to video games, has signed on as the Official Broadcast Media Partner, and, Game Informer Magazine is the tour's Official Game Magazine Partner.  GameStop is the tour's Official Retailer partner throughout the US tour.


The tour offers each campus the rare experience of sampling the spring's most anticipated titles for the first time, as well as preview unreleased demos of many hot new titles.  "'The Game Life Tour' is a great opportunity to generate trial and awareness of our latest titles to our target consumers in a fun, interactive environment," said Alison Ross of Electronic Arts.
