off topic gripe:  Please reduce the size of your avatar.  It's far beyond the size allowed in the rules of the forum, and we don't want to have our avatars taken away.

But yeah, I am looking forward to a new Star Fox.

It looks okay.  I really don't like the planned control scheme for when the characters run around.  I am looking forward to the game, though.  I didn't like the way Rare made Fox kinda cocky and a jerk in SFA, so hopefully this game will do him some justice.

Yeah, in Star Fox 64 he was quiet and while he occassionally goofed off, he was mostly trying to get the job done.

I'm looking forward to this game.  The multiplayer looks like very much fun, and I'm hoping that the single player will be as awesome as it can be.

I don't like the control scheme in SF2 either, but Fox's cockiness in SFA was just way too cool.

"off topic gripe: Please reduce the size of your avatar. It's far beyond the size allowed in the rules of the forum, and we don't want to have our avatars taken away."

I noticed that, too, and I saw somebody else that snuck a couple extra pixels in, though I don't remember who it was.  I just noticed that theirs was 66 by 66.

Star Fox 3, actually.

Anyways, the last I seen of the game, it looked like it was in dire need of a visual overhaul.

I don't care about graphics; this game looks fun.

I don't mind the holding R thing, because the 64 multiplayer was like that (a very sad but inexplicably fun multiplayer), as are some other games that I've played (Turok for 64, methinks, was something like that), so I'm used to it.  I wouldn't mind if they changed it, though.  Like I said before, I'm just praying that the single player is good.

I hope they have some control setup more like a shooter. Like Nightfire or TS2.

I may be the only person who thinks this, but I wish they went back to the old puppet look from the SNES.  I just thought that was so cool.  If you compare the Fox then to the Fox now, he has changed dramatically.  I just miss the old puppet Fox.

Oh boy were thoughs puppets scary looking. They had big heads and super tiny ankles with them silver metal shoes. I remember looking at them wondering how they would talk, and I could only think up a voice for slippy, and man I was way off. At least in SFA he sounded more like a guy.

I am really looking forward to the next Star Fox but alot of stuff about this game so far leave me dissapointed.  But im just judging from the impressions. The 2 player co-op as far as I know has one character moving around in an Arwing or Tank while the other is standing on the Arwing or Tank. Is that right? IMO that doesn't sound nearly as fun as each character having his or her own Arwing or Tank, and how in the world will the second player shoot with ease while the vehicle is spinning, summer saulting, barrel rolling  looping and so on? If I read wrong someone please correct me.

And can you choose any mode of destruction for any stage? I thought I read something like that but it could have been just for multiplayer. I would hate for every single stage to be in All Range Mode, I would want some linear stages with a few different paths to take.

Ether way, if Nintendo can trust Namco with it I guess it will turn out fine, im sure they would never release it if it was garbage.

The standing on wing/tank thing is an option, but not for the co-op, I think.  You can press some button in multiplayer mode (maybe in single player, but who knows?) and jump out of your arwing and shoot at stuff from the wing.  The arwing goes straight, since there's no one controlling it.  As far as I know, there is absolutely no information out about the main game, especially the co-op aspect of it.  I imagine that there will be a split screen for it, though.

No, Star Fox 3.  Star Fox Adventures wasn't part of the normal series, so it doesn't count amongst the rest.

Then explain why Krystal is in it. I think Star Fox Adventures still deserves to be in the storyline. It wasnt that bad.

If it's Starfox 2 and not Starfox Armada, then why do they have the Starfox Armada website up?
