Nintendo Gaming / RE: The game has been leak! Prepare for spoilers!
« on: January 31, 2008, 01:50:27 AM »
haha, I did miss the hawtness thread...but in response to Krystal, there's no proof she wouldn't be a clone.  Having a bo could have been just an aesthetic choice, and she could've had the same moveset as everyone else...I mean, she's been piloting an arwing just like everyone else lately, when was the last time she used her bo?  (Though if she had a new moveset that would be cool, but based on everyone's complaints and thought process about Sakurai, how likely would that have been?)

But I'm not complaining about this game one bit, it looks like pur fun and amazingness...ok, I lied, I'm complaining about the release date...THEY NEED TO HURRY UP!!!

Why does it sound like most people prefer Krystal over Falco and Wolf?  I'm relieved to have Wolf in the game...a nemesis for Fox who's been a part of the series longer, and started from a good Star Fox game.  I don't understand everyone's obsession with Krystal.

I don't remember it looking like a sticker...

I dunno, my money is on Knuckles being playable....but perhaps it's just wishful thinking...

5
So I was always hoping, but after the update today, does anybody else believe Knuckles is gonna be in this?  I don't believe Sakurai would just mention it for no reason.....

I would much prefer Smash Bros. Racers to Mario Kart nowadays...heck, half the characters in Mario Kart and Party games are in Smash Bros...different Nintendoverse themed racetracks...I would totally dig it...I love me some Starfox and Zelda...

« on: December 20, 2007, 04:10:41 PM »
I concur, this game can be quite fun.  Just because you can't adjust to the motion controls doesn't warrant rating this game awful (and you can change the controls around in the options setting anyways).  It's a great buy for the lowered price tag in my opinion.  This is my first SSX game since 3, so I haven't tried out the skiing too much, and many of the tracks seem to be a rehash of those.  But all-in-all, a very fun experience.  It has it's flaws, as most games do, but it's nothing worth ranting over.  If you need a game to pass some time, this one will do just fine...but I agree w/ Spak-Spang, I also lacked the drive to go as far in this game as previous ones...maybe it's b/c I'm growing out of games a bit, or maybe b/c you can't buy stuff like in the other ones...but I say give it a shot nonetheless...

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Guitar Hero 3

It is a nice change, certainly...and in terms of selling enough units, it has seemed to sell out most places, but at the same time I've heard people hold back simply b/c of the sound issues, but now that this is being fixed, well....let's just say it would be a waste of a guitar if there is only one game on the Wii that can use it....

Btw, anybody know/think they'll port over GH I & II to the Wii?

Haha, of course they release news now...well, it looks like I will have to pick up this game now...glad they manned up to the problem...I mean, of course it's going to cost them a pretty penny, but not nearly as much as everyone is making it out to be...

I don't have a 360, so I'm not on too often...and some other people play on my name, but whatever, it's all gravy, I'm not that great anyways....

So I heard they were working on the problem to get the stereo sound fixed, anybody heard any updates about it?  If they've fixed it yet, or when it might be fixed and they'll be shipping new, fixed copies of it?

Greatest news ever?...Me thinks so...maybe...pretty close at least...I wonder what other Wi-Fi features they're planning on releasing?...and does anybody think there may be some Mii battles?  I mean, just b/c of the icons you can choose...who cares....still great "official" news...

I don't want to sound like an idiot just trying to make things simple, but anybody think it could just be the good guys versus the bad guys...all these bad guys in the nintendo universe just team up w/ these subspace strangers?  I've been debating it for a while in my head, thinking they should include all the rivals/bad guys for each hero characters game...but didn't really have any proof, but now that Petey is in there it just seems like a distinct possibility...especially if that is Metakinights ship being used...

The last world from SMB 3, all the ships flying by in their original 8-bit (or however many it was back then) glory, just floating by in the air in the same manner as the Pokemon Floats level from Melee.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Original Super Smash Bros. on the Virtual Console?
« on: August 12, 2007, 11:08:52 AM »
Did I just hear Melee called a "low quality product?"  I never realized I've spent so much of my time w/ friends and gotten so much enjoyment from such a low quality product before..... :-P  I can understand the balance issues and whatnot, but it is in no way a low quality product...it still holds up better than most games today, and I'll keep playing it for quite some time...

19
That is a good observation...it's not like they have enough time between release dates in separate countries/continents/territories to fix anything that could be wrong w/ the online features...

It'll probably be the first game I get on the VC...oh, if only they'd update the original for online play, that would be amaaaaaazing...

Wolf O'Donnell as a playable character...all the Koopa Kids as assist trophies...

So most of the assist trophies and characters were at least trophies in the other game it seems, but how about something else...Wolf O'Donnell was in the opening movie to Melee, but not a trophy if I remember correctly...my brother and I want him to be in Brawl more than anyone else, think he has a chance as a trophy if not an actual character? (would prefer the playable character, obviously)

As a person who loves Zelda but actually disliked OoT (yes I disliked it . . . sorry it wasn't as great as I thought everyone said it was), I liked TP better.

I think the STORY to OoT was more well conceived than TP but OoT's biggest issue was its gameplay. While it was ground breaking and revolutionary and original (lock on targeting and such), I just felt it wasn't perfected enough and I found myself not really getting "pulled in" to the OoT experience.

I am one of the few people out there who will probably openly admit to not really enjoying OoT (cept for the ending, the whole Gannon fight was awesome). I think Wind Waker and TP are better than OoT simply for the fact that I got into those games more, but that's just one persons perspective on it.

To this day, though, no Zelda game is greater than ALttP in my eyes. Still all around the best Zelda game I've played.

Here Here, to ALttP!!!      Favorite game ever since I was a child...OoT was great for me though, and Wind Waker great also...but nothing beats the art design for me of TP...the levels were just gorgeous to me...especially the first time those Iron Boots came into play...just my two cents...

TalkBack / RE: Smash Bros. Brawl Will Support Four Control Types
« on: June 08, 2007, 03:45:53 AM »
Did I not call this sideways wiimote earlier in the other Smash Bros. Forum?  I believe I did, b/c the icon for the controls was a sideways remote, but all I got was a "no, you're crazy" and the like...well hahahaha, who's laughing now!!!...anyways, I really don't care about that...but I'm wondering if it'll be similar to excite truck for just the wiimote to move, by just tilting one way or another...that would definitely be interesting...everytime you flinch something new is happening.  I'll give all the possibilities (except classic controller) a try, but GC controller will probably be the best.
