Hi I'm Meta_Ridley89.

Great fan of Metroid, I decided to join when I've seen the Metroid Prime Trilogy Marathorn for this week-end.

JayBayBay reporting for duty. I'm 23 years old and from Massachusetts. Owned every Nintendo console except SNES (had Genesis). Introduced to Mario at 3 years old... Umm...

Metroid Prime Trilogy marathon was stunning to say the least. Loved every second of it I was there. Although I love Nintendo, I am a very unbiased gamer that owns a high-end PC and a 360 as well. I usually stay away from PlayStation because they don't have many exclusives that appeal to me (I did own a PS2 however). I play Team Fortress 2 competitively so if anyone wants to join me, they're welcome! 

Other than that, thanks for being so welcoming and extending the invitation to join the forums. The absolute idiocy on GameFAQs can get quite tiring sometimes...

I can't join in on the GameFAQs bashing because I "grew up" there in terms of forums. You just need to find the right boards. Unfortunately anything for recent games is usually a mess...

It's possible his birthday is coming up, and he's lying about his age for the sake of simplicity.  I've done it before, just to keep things from getting overcomplicated (And I don't like to make a big deal about my B-day.)

Regardless, welcome one and all.  I'd like to say I'm new, too.  To Skyping, I mean.  I was surprised I spoke as much as I did, and I hope I didn't grate on anyone but the people who were only in the Justin.tv chat room, rather than NWR's.

Hopefully you're happy to find NWR isn't a place that's just about Metroid games, and is an open Nintendo-based community for you.  I sure didn't, but you'll probably have better luck than me.

As for GameFAQs, I grew up on it too. I've been a member since '02 or '03. They should definitely increase the age from 13 to something higher but they won't. I simply can't stand dumbass infants asking the same questions over and over that can be found by either typing them in the search or on the first page. Oh well, kids will be kids.

Nice list, a lot of winners there. Did you like Tomb Raider Anniversary? I thought about picking it up since I enjoyed the original but haven't yet.

What games are you planning to get soon? Kings Story or Tigerwoods '10? I'm a little surprised you don't have Okami, did you try it on the PS2?

Tomb Raider Anniversary was decent enough but I don't know if it'd warrant a purchase unless you're a real fan of the original/series.

You know, it's surprising you mentioned Okami because I was about one step away from purchasing and playing that game but I lost interest once things got busy in my life.

As for Wii games, I just got Metroid Prime Trilogy so the only other games this year I'd pick up for Wii are Dead Space: Extraction, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles. There's really not that many titles coming out that I want for the rest of '09...

As for other platforms, this is what I'm looking at right now:
360 - Halo 3: ODST (getting this for free because I won some contest at my college before I graduated)
360 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (don't really need to say anything about this)
360 - Assassin's Creed 2 (first one grabbed my attention even though it wasn't perfect)
PC  - Left 4 Dead 2 (yeah, I know... I love the original that much though)

You have the first L4D on PC? You should share your Steam ID with us so we can play some time. Kraken and I play from time to time and we're trying to get Lindy to join us as well. There is an NWR group on Steam as well.

I'm new as well. I recently got Scribblenauts, and the Conduit. I spend a good a mount of time on my PC and WoW, but I do really like my Wii.
RFN is what introduced me to the site.

I can't believe you would just give your Wii away like it was an old teddy bear that you didn't want anymore. Like it didn't cost $250 when you bought it, but since your economy is obviously in much better shape than the rest of the country, you can donate it to your needy friend that couldn't afford his own like your gonna get some sort of tax refund. I hope he is atleast putting money towards your eventual purchase of a Black Wii to make up for the "selfless" "goodwill" gesture that you bestowed upon him which probably came with a few of the games you spent your hard earned money on that apparently have little to no worth to you now.

A few games? How about 11 wii and 15 gamecube games three wiimotes (with nunchucks), a classic controller, and four gamecube controllers. I'm the boss, nigga. I don't need entertainment to keep me entertained. Money ain't **** bitch. /dickhead

I do sometimes regret it, but that's my guy. I try to be a good friend. For example, he got out of prison, so I sent some skeezers his way. I noticed he was bored cooped up in a house all day, so I gave him all my seasons of Futurama (a show he missed) on DVD. Then I noticed all he had was PS2 and I remember he got all of his old school consoles jacked (NES, SNES, N64), so I gave him my Wii along with a couple of wiiware games like Super Mario 3 and Contra.

Once your in my greatest circle of trust, it's real easy to give cuz I know they'd do the same.
