For PSN + members, KoF XIII is free for them now, it's an 2.2GB download.

Good week for me to retry the online gameplay since I should be able to find players within 100 miles now; not to mention a bunch of noobs more to my skill level anyhow.

DarkStalkers is getting a proper rerelease on XBLA/PSN. I assume it's the exact same treatment that 3S and MvC Origins got (GGPO, custom filters, crazy stat tracking, etc).

Here is a cool article about the animation in DarkStalkers from quite a while back:
http://art-eater.com/2010/07/test-1-darkstalkers/

SFxT is getting a new update. It might fix everything wrong with the game but I think probably not!

No way in heck are they making a CG trailer just for a XBL/PSN port, IMO

I dunno, this is Capcom, if the devs love a game you can expect any amount of crazyness from them (see also the Gotcha Force re-print)

It's been out for PS2/Wii/PSP. The draw here is that it has online play and will be getting a free update to core+R

I really wanted a new DarkStalkers game...but at least this is good enough...if it sells well a new game will be green lit.

Skullgirls update nov 20 for PS3! Hallelujah! And they sealed the deal for the arcade version as well if I didn't mention it already!

360 version patch date is still a mystery.

I'll believe it when it's downloading in front of my eyes, but yay. That didn't take long AT ALL.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

Finally finished installing the game, takes GFWL forever and now there's hardly anyone online at all.  Two people which pings in the green for me and a couple more Europeans with pings in the 1 or 2 bars range--sigh.

Going try a couple more times tonight and see if the lobby improves.

SUPER! Don't know why I didn't come here first!

So look, I got Tekken questions. I'm the type of fighting game player that likes to use low tier or less popular characters to actually get noticed in competitions and such. So I really like Alex/Roger Jrs silly style as well as Yoshimitsu and his suicidal ways. Going to start on Kunimitsu when these 3 get more familiar.

How viable are they if I got really good at understanding the universal mechanics of the game? Right now I can barely remember move lists so I got a ways to go.

Most importantly when I am being over run I just don't know what to do. I feel helpless. Used to feel like that in SC but eventually started to understand things. I don't get exactly when to push directions and buttons so I get up immediately with a block or roll away fast and stuff like that. Any tips?

Yes, and I like it even if the Single-Player content almost makes the original Smash Bros.' look like Brawl's by comparison and the menus look like a 1st year college student made them.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

Tier lists ahoy: http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=126056
You can probably do okay as long as you're not playing Dr. B. You might try Jack, since he has very weird moves and seems to turn heads even though he's been in Tekken forever.

Yeah, here's some basic advice. To get straight up (and into a blocking position as fast as possible), tap 'up' and let the stick go to neutral. Rolling away can be dangerous since you can be hit out of your roll. You can hold forward as you're knocked onto your back to spring back up.

Good players will try to pressure you with series of attacks that give you just enough time to start a move in between, but not enough for it to connect. It's a trap! Don't fall for it, and be a patient blocker. Resist the urge to hit buttons, and when you do, make sure it's your fastest poke or you otherwise know you're safe to do so.

Thanks man, little things like that help a lot.

So when my character gets floored tap up just as I hit the ground and let it back to neutral? Now will that automatically put me in a blocking state or do I need to hold back just as I stand up?

I've been trying to roll to the foreground and background, is that more useful than rolling straight back?

Also which Jack are we talking? P Jack or Jack 6?

You can tap up when your character is laying flat, same as when you can roll. Yeah, you can block moves just by having yoru stick at neutral. As for which direction you roll, that's gonna depend on your situation. You'll just have to use your best judgment.

As for Jack, I dunno, whichever man 8)

Somebody made a good youtube guide for KI2. It's really interesting, especially if you want to get into it!

There's a couple things I would nitpick about it but it's pretty solid.

Skullgirls is a nominee for the Annie awards. Hype.

Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition is now FREE for Playstation 3 Plus Members.  This comes right after I purchased the PC version :(.

Have to say I've been loving PS+ all year now and just wished I gotten it sooner--well worth the $40 a year (you can find discounted yearly cards for this price).
