Paranormal Activity

Anyone seen this yet? I saw a preview for it a few weeks back, and it's been selling out in my local "indie" theater ever since. Seems pretty dang freaky.

Movies we should keep an eye out for
Paranormal Activity
Studio: Paramount Pictures
Director: Oren Peli
Starring: Katie Featherston, Micah Sloat, Michael Bayouth
Release: Limited Release Sept. 25, 2009 - Demand It Here
Quote
After a young, middle class couple moves into what seems like a typical suburban 'starter' tract house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be somehow demonic but is certainly most active in the middle of the night. Especially when they sleep. Or try to.

I've seen this movie about a 1.5yrs ago (it was made in 2007) @ a film festival in SF and it was kinda creepy. I can't say it scared me since no movie has since the original Nightmare on Elm Street when i was like 7 or 8, but the girl I was watching it with was clutching tight the entire time, and she wasn't the kind to scare really easily (for a girl ;)).

*If you like supernatural horror movies in a "believable" environment and don't want to spoil anything, don't watch the trailer. Just take my word for it and go watch it*

I saw this movie and it freaked me out for weeks. I actually had trouble sleeping for about a week.

a few days after I saw it, my GF went out of town, and sleeping alone was almost hell. I am very surprised the movie had that much affect on me.  Movies about killers and monsters and such don't ever get to me. I feel if I ever encounter one, I can fight back, but a ghost? What the heck can you do to fight the ghost?

No, you were right the first time.  We get pointless spam bumps all the time.  Usually I just delete them and they drop back to the pits of the forum.  But Perm thought it would be a good idea to respond to the bump.  Normally, I would just delete his post too, but Caterkiller responded before I got here with a post relevant to the topic, so I decided to keep everything as is (minus the spam that Pap was nice enough to delete).
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

The movie is good but to say it's going to be the best horror movie of the year...hmmm...not so sure about that one!! It's a nice twist and alternative from the usual ones  ;)
