Now that the forums have mostly stabilized, I thought I'd go through and address everyone's concerns.
hay guys, don't forget to increase avatar display size to 100x100
hay mods, there seems to be a global limitation on picture resolution.
interesting stuff: Pro's sig had a huge, annoying blank space after his second link, which was gone the moment I logged on...
Can you remove the avatar image 100x100 resize/limit so small avatar aren't stretch to uglyness like Kairon above...
I have avatars set to a 100x100 limit with automatic server-side resizing when necessary. If you still have an avatar problem, try resetting it. In-message images have a 640 width limit, resized or windowed client-side. Images are banned from signatures and enforced by CSS. The big blank space happened while I was adjusting the CSS.
fun fact: I did a small change in my profile, and now my sig is borked
The old forum syntax is no longer valid, so signatures will break when you save your profile. Just update your signatures with the new forum syntax.
Every time I exit the forums and then come back I have to login again, despite choosing to remain logged in forever. I suppose it's my own fault for leaving in the first place.
This was a cookie domain problem when switching between nintendoworldreport.com and
www.nintendoworldreport.com. I've fixed this by forcing everybody to the single domain name.
Being able to change your name at will is rather convenient!
Augh I can't find the option to turn that off. I might have had to disable it manually the last time this kind of thing came up.
Now just let us change out titles at will and things would be close to perfect...
Title are better given to, but it would be nice to have the personal text visible under the avatar in posts and not just in profiles....
Can somebody explain why personal text is necessary when you already have a signature? It just seems like even more clutter to add to the side of the posts, but I can turn it back on if there's a good reason.
Every time I've tried to access them from the main page I get a page full of code. O:<
This happened while I was upgrading server software, but was only temporary.
I'm shocked that it all went through so well. Was there any technical thingymajiggies with the thing?
Tons.
More to come in the
other thread!
