Also, I just noticed in the Metroid video that there was a short bit with very familiar-looking first person view (though it looks to be the exception this time around) and Samus was getting in close to do some serious scrappin'! It looks like grabbing guys and throwing them around will be a big addition to combat. (And was that Mother Brain in her bipedal form at the end, there?)

Yes that was certainly the mother brain. Looked very much like a cut scene, probably a flash back.

Geez, no Donkey Kong or Star Fox? I mean I am plenty satisfied with what has been shown, and we may get some Brawl like surprise later, but where are these franchises?

We've all have discussed what was shown so far at E3 2009, but what we haven't really done is discuss what hasn't been shown.
What else is out there that we know about that is no where to be found?

We touched on what Retro is doing. Reggie says "There are working hard, but we can't show what they are working on this E3.'
But what about everyone else. Where is Monster Hunter 3? What is MonolithSoft doing? Where is Pikmin 3? When do we find out more about that camera that Nintendo & Ubisoft are working on?

Where is everything I mentioned above and is there anything else that we know about that hasn't been mentioned yet?

MH3: Does anyone know if Capcom is having their own press meeting? I imagine they'd show it there if so.
Edit: Never mind, Capcom has no show. I guess MH3 will be a no-show?

Monolithsoft game: Not ready yet? Still reeling over the commercial disaster that was Disaster?

Ubisoft's camera: Ubisoft showed it off at their own press meeting. It seems that it's more their brainchild than Nintendo's, and I don't think it was meant to be a response to MS or Sony's camera technologies. What Ubisoft showed of it yesterday might be all we see of it for a while, especially if it's still in the works.

Pikmin 3: I dunno. Maybe it'll get a Brawl-style private reveal later at E3?

Square-Enix's press meeting is tonight (edit: tomorrow night), though I have a feeling there will be no KH Wii reveal.

Square Enix conference is mostly gonna be one Final Fantasy blending into the Next Final Fantasy, until you get to FFCC and DQIX.
FFXIII (PS3/X360) FFXIIIvs (PS3) FFXIIIvsAdvent Apocalypse or whateever the the other 3 FFXIII games are, FFXIV (PS3)
Its gonna be Final Fantasy overload.

I hope they spend a good amount of time going over FFCC and DQIX since those are the next two to get released, and hopefully a sneak peak at DQX for Wii too.

I'm also hoping Konami does a nice presentation for Silent Hill: SM. The walk-through on IGN looked pretty good and was kinda like watching a sneak peak at a movie.

We got a report from Nintendo even befor the Wii was released about them working on Donkey Kong. Now where is my Donkey Kong? Should I just give up on him like Star Fox and Sonic and just live out their glory in smash?
