This week's Arcade Archives game will be delayed a day, but will bring a Nintendo oddity.

Hamster have confirmed that Donkey Kong 3, the last of the game's starring Nintendo's ape mascot for more than a decade, will be releasing this Friday. Standard Archives pricing (US$7.99, €6.99, £6.29, ¥823) will apply.

Originally released in 1984 in North America, Donkey Kong 3 is a single-screen shooter that stars Stanley, an exterminator whose job is to either clear the room of bugs or shoot Donkey Kong up the screen high enough that he will finish the job. The game has been re-released on NES with ports to the three Virtual Consoles.
