The official pronunciation on the US commercial is MEE-TEE-OS.  I think the reason there's confusion is that the Japanese characters on the import are pronounced MEH-TEH-OS, and I've even heard people say MEH-TAY-OS.

I probably pronounce it the japanese way, the name doesn't strike me as particularly english so I use my default pronounciation, which is german. The japanese spelling would have to be "mitiosu" to match the english pronounciation.

If you play sound #20 of the Gravitas sound set, you'll hear a crowd chanting "Hell no!".

I know I'm a bit late to the party but I just picked-up Meteos (I traded-in Mario Superstar Baseball for a measly $22 at GameStop - that's right less than half of what I paid for it just 1 week ago and they will sell it for $44.99!). I applied the $22 in store credit towards 'Meteos' and I'm glad I did. It's awesome.

Mee-tee-os makes sense, as in mee-tee-or.

You traded in Mario Baseball?!  You don't deserve Meteos!

Am I the only one who thinks MSB is fun?  Maybe

I have played the Mario Superstar Baseball demo with my father and we had a lot of fun. One of about 3 games that my dad can play well and have fun with.
Thanks for listening.

I have absolutely everything in this game, except I still haven't seen one of the endings.  The one that's hard as hell to get to, the one I could've gotten to if I'd known you could aim at one planet at a time but I lost by one second and now I can't launch another 75 meteos at once.
Amazing game, though, probably the best puzzle game I've ever played.
I'd like it if you could view the endings without beat the game, after you've seen them all.  Doubt they have it, but it'd be nice.

But, I beat Metroid Prime 2 on hard mode today, so that's cool.  Aside from Advance Wars, which I'm taking my time with, Meteos is one of the few games I have that's uncompleted.

Mario Baseball was fun for for the first hour or so. After that, I began to regret the purchase because I just didn't see myself ever wanting to play it again. The game is good, but the controls are just way too simple for me to really get into it - ultimately it ruined the experience for me. I want to do more than press "A" and hold the right shoulder button.

Out of curiosity... What do EA (or similar) Baseball games have you do?

Why do you trade in a new game at EB when they only give you 22$?!? Use eBay or something, you'd probably have made 30 (or more) on there!

If it was only one week wouldn't you have the option of just plain returning it....I dunno seems the sensible option to me. Unless you tried that already.

Ugh, worst news ever.
I finished the last ending in the real Meteos, though.  Beat everything

It might be worthwhile if they add Wi-Fi play.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I read somewhere that there is going to be a new Meteos game for DS, but the only thing I read is that it's going to be Disney Meteos.

I would get the Disney version (although not at full price) if there were nice themed levels after movies and shows of Disney that I enjoy, like a POTC one, a Ducktales one, etc.

However, I feel there isn't going to be a great deal of effort placed into this unlike something such as Kingdom Heart.
