Now if only they would try and reach the untapped online market of the GameCube.

If not EA then SEGA should at least release ESPN sports line-up w/ online capabilities since they are the only company supporting online on GC, they might as well go all out instead of just stopping at the PSO series.  How much could it really cost to add online functionality when it is already built into the other versions?

Fat chance of that happening as Sega canned their ESPN sport series GC support last year.

I was under the assumption that the reason that only EA's PS2 games were online was because of an exclusive deal with Sony.  Since this obviously is not the case anymore if they support Live then I'm going to be pretty pissed off if their Cube games don't get online play.  The Cube online model is EXACTLY THE SAME as the PS2 online model so there's no good excuse to exclude it.

Of course they probably still will and then will complain some more about how their Cube games don't sell.

The one excuse (which is valid) is that that the 'Cubes user base is small, add the fact that the 3rd party releases sell the least, why go and take needless losses? I'm not going to play the blame game or yak about how Nintendo needs to get the online facet in gear, that argument has been brought up time and time again.

Looks like the 2 superpowers have reached an agreement. Very scary. Put in XSN, and one could say that MS took the cake. Imagine, Madden+XSN= Killer App.

No one will ever try to support nintendo for online because nintendo doesnt even support themselves for online and sees it as a waste.  What a load of bull!
