As much of a boob loving manly American male as I am, I'm actually more interesting in playing as that egyptian cat guy. He looks like he'd be hilarious to play!

I'm actually on the fence about picking this one up... I've already got several big 3DS game on my wishlist for the next couple of months... if I was a big fan of arcade beat-em-ups like Ninja Turtles back in the day, would I enjoy this one?

Hmm, about 50 cents more than I expected, but then again, I've spent more on worse DLC.

I'd like to see a floating polygonal Reggie head next time, NoA! Then maybe I won't spend the next video trying to figure out what all that crap on that shelf behind him is.

So... what happened with the N.A. Nintendo Direct? Can't seem to find that one online anywhere.

"One unfortunate thing about the Wii U announcement: it doesn't come with a Wii Remote, so Rodea and all the other Wii titles I created, people won't be able to play it with a Wii Remote. They'll have to use the Wii U GamePad," said Naka.

Naka, were you unaware that there are approximately six zillion Wiimotes scattered throughout the globe? It ain't gonna be that difficult for someone to find one.

In all honesty, I could care less about the TV app or online features. All I care about is, are the games fun to play?

I've been hearing people predicting the end of Nintendo since the N64 days; it's all become white noise to me.

Considering I most likely won't be picking up a Wii U for at least a year, the decision to pick up the regular Wii version has already been made. :)

Why is it that a good majority of cartoon licensed games that come out usually arrive just as the show its based on gets cancelled?

I'm still surprised we're getting the system nearly a month earlier than Japan.

Any chance Metroid Blast could become part of the official canon instead of Other M?

From what I have gathered, they're all new stages.

Already got this one pre-ordered. Let's hope Mario's 30th Anniversary is celebrated this well. :)

Anyone else notice that the Theatrhythm demo has "unlimited" uses?

Obviously Nintendo needs to give up on the 3DS and instead focus on developing for iOS.

*this is where I'd put the sarcasm emoticon, if one existed*

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo of America Comments on Nintendo Power's Closure
« on: August 22, 2012, 07:48:39 PM »
It's a shame, but seeing as how print media is slowly dying, I guess they felt it no longer had enough readers to support it. Not surprising, seeing as how Gamepro died last year and EGM is on the verge of a second death.

I enjoyed Nintendo Power, subscribed to it for years after first subscribing to get the Donkey Kong Country guide (I had read it in stores and nabbed  issues from a friend before then), but I dropped out of it after the move to Future. I still enjoyed thumbing through it in stores, picking up the occassional issue if it interested me. I might pick up the last couple of issues, if just for nostalgic reasons.

Speaking of nostalgia, get ready to see back issues of NP spike up on eBay in the next few weeks.

Still playing mine, in fact I had some friends over last week to play Rayman Origins, which quickly devolved into a slapping match. I sadly don't have much time to play anything these days; I have yet to even crack open Xenoblade, which is yet another daunting game on my looming backlog.

I'd never heard of a "safe mode" for the Wii, Tizona, but I'll keep that in mind if I ever run across an issue like that! Thanks!

You know, just this afternoon, as I was driving back from work, I thought to myself that it'd be nice to own a copy of Hyrule Historia, but I could never justify the outrageous cash monies it would take to import a book I would never be able to read.

Totally pick this up next year. Thanks, combined forces of Nintendo and Dark Horse!

...now, about that Kid Icarus soundtrack...

"Even though she has the infamous "I drew on my face with a Sharpie" mole that Other M introduced to the series..."

I've always considered the fact Samus suddenly has a mole on her face proof that Other M is just a dream that the real Samus is having, before waking up and finding Bobby Ewing in her shower.

At least, I can only HOPE that's how they retcon Other M out of existance...

Uh... back on topic... the figures are actually quite nice and detailed. Too bad they are so out of my price range it's not even funny.

Everything I heard about Luigi's Mansion suggested that it still needed a bit more polish, so the delay could probably be a good thing. Plus, it would probably be overshadowed by his older brother's RPG game if released in the same time period anyway.

I don't really remember those two games being "ones that got the biggest push at E3 2012." In fact, I'd forgotten about Castlevania until this article.

I'm not concerned, there are plenty of third party games coming out in the meantime.

Ordered mine.....

shipped to wrong address....

Why can't I cancel the order and redo it?
I tried to call Nintendo to fix it @ 7:20pm...

they closed @ 7pm
So I tried to send an email....

email says to call... before 7pm
"could take 24 hours to be resolved by email and that may be too late..."

Here's to hoping they don't ship before 6am Saturday morning.

I seem to remember when I ordered mine that a note popped up saying it would take 2-4 weeks to ship, so I think you'll be okay.

@ Chozo Yeah, it looks yellow to me too.

I like it. It separates the Wii U games from the standard Wii games, yet it manages to keep the same clean aesthetic.

Actually Josh % of beaten games is higher than yours Insane so wouldn't that make you the collector and him the gamer?

Of course Josh added multiple generations together, hell if I did my list would be HUGE as well.  70 games/year by 30 years of gaming=roughly 2100 titles.  That's playing 5 or 6 games per month.

I said intent; I bought every one of those games intending to play it, and Josh seemed to indicate that he bought games just to collect them. Also, my completion percentage would be higher, but at a certain point I stopped adding games that I'd beaten because I was tired of entering things and wanted to be finished quicker.

Well, honestly, I use Backloggery for both keeping track of what I'm playing AND my collection. Though I'm well aware that I most likely will never play through a good chunk of those games... who would have the time?

If you're using backloggery for gameplay purposes, I certainly cede victory to you, my good man. I was just trying to be a smartass earlier. ;)

On topic: I liked Epic Mickey enough that I put up with its many shortcomings, but I do hope the sequel is MUCH better.

Josh: Where in the world do you get the time and money to even BUY that many games? Seriously, even my worst obssession, comic book collecting, pales in comparison to this collection. And comic books are cheaper.   And logging all those games must have been a part-time job in and of itself.

What's REALLY scary? This is AFTER a big purge last year or so when I got rid of a substantial chunk of my collection, getting rid of most of the games I either disliked or had no interest in playing. I actually wasn't that into video game collecting up until a decade ago, when a friend got me into it and we started competing with each other to see who could build the bigger collection.

My secret? Yard sales and flea markets. Plus I cleaned up on clearance items when Circuit City went under. I have been cutting back in the past year or so though, but I have been picking up odd Gameboy games whenever I can find them dirt cheap.

Hey, I beat Lindemann by 20 games. If anyone's the master, it's me.

Really?
