TalkBack / Re: Why Xenoblade Chronicles X is the Best
« on: March 06, 2018, 09:49:22 AM »
So I’m loving X - finished it and it is the most compelling for me of the 3 to do the end game stuff in, but I’m now hitting a wall with those stupid Reward Tickets that require the online system to be working for. Any tips for getting those better Skells needed for end game stuff without the Reward Tickets. Baffling that this game has no way of earning those now with online dead :(

I’ve been playing through all 3 - finished 2 about 2 weeks ago and dove into 1 and finished that now diving into X and 2 stands out to me as having the strongest stories and combat system, with the best graphics and end to end best experience.

1 was amazing with an amazing story, but there were many points for me that I just had to grind and the story came to a screeching halt this didn’t happen in 2. 1 on the Wii is a beautiful game and would love to see a HD remaster of it.

X is such an interesting beast, I love the affinity missions and the structure being much more exploration. I find so far the combat system to be the weakest and story is no where near as good as 1 or 2. To me yea 2 is the right call it learned from the past and created the best story with the best combat system in an amazing world with amazing characters. Music is great in all 3 and 2 didn’t disappoint there either!

Fantastic video! Had no idea a husband and wife duo lead Monosoft, very cool. Perfect timing for Xenoweek. Finished Xenoblade 2, 2 weeks ago and somehow found the time to finish Xenoblade 1 for the first time (from 20 hour save point) and looks like I’ll finish X for the first time in the next few days (chapter 7 save file)!

Really glad 2 got me back into these, amazing games.

TalkBack / Re: Physical Games vs. Digital Games: The Face-Off
« on: February 19, 2014, 01:37:48 PM »
On the 3DS I am digital all the way. Imagine having a handheld with every first party Nintendo game ever created for the system on it and a ton of awesome indie and 3rd party titles. That is one heck of a handheld to have and own. Game sizes on handhelds are still small enough to make that a reality.

It also is fantastic to be all digital on my Japanese system - having games instantly from the eShop instead of paying for international and slow shipping from Japan is quite nice.

On the Wii U however - I like my discs - It has to do with it being a home console and my affinity to collect games for those - I never had that affinity to collect games for handhelds. The downloads are also bigger on Wii U.

I never sell my games so that part of the equation has never been in the mix for me. I do own a few carts of duplicate games like ACNL and Pokemon where I want to trade or do local play features with my other 3DSes.

Nintendo Gaming / Attack on Titan for 3DS - Eren Mission 3 Help
« on: January 04, 2014, 10:28:22 AM »
Hello everyone,

I picked up Attack on Titan on my Japanese 3DS last night. If anyone else is playing what objectives are required to finish mission 3 or Eren's story mode?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Noticeably absent from this article is how high was your screen brightness - at night level 1 works great while during the day I'll turn that up to 4 or 5. At night that GamePad can last a good 5 hours on the normal battery

You can migrate over your 3DS data to the 2DS - just do a system transfer - it'll move everything over including your Animal Crossing village :) - what you can't do is have it on both systems for 1 buy.

Yea really bad buzz @broodwars - http://www.metacritic.com/game/3ds/mario-luigi-dream-team

83 on Metacritic - it has been very well reviewed and on all accounts worth playing.

Not sure about you guys but I see SmartGlass not taking off it is pretty useless without the screen being a part of the controller - I don't want to have to balance a tablet on my legs or table next to me while playing a game.

Halfway through - curious how the BestBuy events are going - planning on attending Saturday - curious if that discussion comes up towards the end ... (looking forward to getting a Luigi hat!)
