Japanawananese-only games heading to Ramsey Street
« on: September 01, 2007, 05:45:03 PM »
The OFLC (that's our version of the ESRBERBSER.. thingy) have rated both Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (8-bit Master System version) and Mario's Super Picross for the Virtual Console.

Two games that have previously never seen the light of day outside of Japan unless you imported them and left them outside, but then that'd cause the low quality print to fade on the high quality 100% uncut cardboard, and you'd NEVER BE ABLE TO TELL WHAT THEY WERE THEN. So what does this mean? Well I dunno, maybe we'll get Sin & Punishment. MAYBE YOU WILL TOO. But maybe you won't, I don't really care. Maybe. <3

Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin'.  Tossed salad and scrambled eggs
And maybe I seem a bit confused, yeah maybe, but I got you pegged!
But I don’t know what to do with those tossed salads and scrambled eggs.
They’re callin’ again.

Errrr, you meant the Famicom (or NES) version because last time I checked, there was no Mario Bros. on the Sega Master System!

Terranigma wouldn't be news if it was released in AUS since it was released in the PAL territories and unlike the above games wouldn't signify that cross-region VC games will come.

Also Super Picross sounds like a waste of money, there's a close to 100% chance that all the puzzles in there have been recreated by fans for the DS Picross.

Well at least this means there's a really good chance now that Kirby Star Stacker for the Super Famicom will finally be released outside of Japan.  It's a puzzle game with very little text just like Mario Picross and so that gives it a great chance of appearing as well.

NP's Wrecking Crew is another excellent puzzle game that didn't make it to America.

Wonderful to see games that never made it to the us getting closer to release. There are tons of excellent games, especially snes rpgs, that deserve to be played.
It feels like Janus/Criterion opening the gates to greatness.

I own Sin and Punishment on the N64. Amazing game. I got it for X-mas a few years ago. It's definitely worth your money.
