That's entertaining, but ultimately not making me want a Project Glass more because I can get setups that can already do that.  Ironically all they would have had to do is put something up that told some sort of augmented reality information.  For the Skydivers digital paint the target, Bikers Speed Readout be cool, Elevation for the climbers...

Yeah, anything that would've shown off why I'd buy one (augmented reality) would've been better than showing off something I don't actually want (a glorified webcam working over a social network that no one actually uses). Project Glass can do some cool ****, but none of that was shown with their extreme sports demo.

Introducing the Hyper Loop - The hopeful alternative to the California High Speed Rail

Think Futurama vacuum tube travel, but for reals, and in a "large" luxury like bobsled/coaster train.

Think its sort of cool they think it could scale to cross-country near supersonic speeds.

Cross country is relative. He says that for distances greater than 1000 miles that it would be better to take a plane instead of using this. And it might take longer for it to even happen since he says he is too busy to actually design it himself.

He is the one who said it would be better, mainly because at that distance the tube just becomes prohibitively expensive.

Art imitates Life, then Life imitates Art.

So (the MCU) Tony Stark is based off of Elon Musk, Elon Musk builds tech based on (the MCU) Tony Stark.

Just a clarification, there is absolutely no possible way that Elon Musk was the bases for Iron Man considering that Iron Man was created before Elon was conceived.

Let me clarify that statement since I didn't put it into the context of what was posted.

The MCU Tony Stark was based off of Elon Musk (at the suggestion of RDJ).

Elon's going to use the time machine he invents 12 years from now to go back and inspire the original creators of Iron Man.

That's pretty ingenious. This might finally make 3D modelling as potentially "easy" as photoshop.

Too much CG ruins a movie for me (though Pacific Rim was a visual feast). I prefer practical effects (costumes, explosions, makeup, animatronics).
