Nintendo Gaming / RE: come list Games ideas
« on: January 27, 2005, 04:08:47 AM »
Monkey Island... that would be sweet. But I really DONT see that happening since what happened last year... (lucasarts -> sam & max -> NOOOO!!)
But I wouldn't mind a nice point-and-click adventure game on the DS.

Rare still releases games for GBA.  Microsoft is not competing with Nintendo's handhelds so a Rare game on DS, even a port, is not out of the question.

I know, I know... But yeah it would be cool.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: don't let children play with your DS
« on: January 26, 2005, 11:12:20 AM »
Kids? What about uncles? I let my uncle play on my GBC with Pokemon Silver in it and start over. I said to him "Whatever you do, DON'T SAVE! Don't even come near that word." I just completed the league at that moment BTW. So when he played I was all shaky and stuff because I knew what was gonna happen... HE SAVED!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!! Well now that would mean nothin to me but back then that was the first RPG that I played (well I played Earthbound before that but I was kinda too young understand all that...) and I was so proud of myself that I completed the league.

Conker's Bad Fur Day! That game was sweet. I wonder if it would be just as good if it didn't was so "evil". Like the cancelled Conker 64: Twelve Tales (or something like that).
And of course the Banjo Kazooie games!
O and don't forget Donkey Kong 64.
And umm... Well there's only one RPG on the N64 that I know of which is Quest 64. It gets bad rates everywhere but I think it's OK and there isn't really any RPG out yet so... that would be cool too.
And Zelda OoT of course! Zelda MM isn't really handheld material.
Ummm... well that's about it.
If they would port all these games I would definatly buy them all!
If I would have to choose one of them I would go for... Zelda OoT.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Yoshi Touch n' Go Does Well
« on: January 26, 2005, 10:49:10 AM »
I ordered it today on YesAsia.com because it was only $44.09 and ya don't have to pay the shipping costs. Well it is too much for a DS game but it's still 2/3 the price it's gonna be here in Holland (if they're gonna ive it the same price as GBA games). So anybody else gonna import it?

LOL! They changed the price to $48.99 today. Finally something good happens in my life.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:DS External Battery Pack?
« on: January 26, 2005, 04:49:57 AM »
I bought this battery pack thingy just an hour ago:

CLICKY

It comes with a screw driver and u can put ur old battery in it too. Together = 20 hours of gaming. Well that's what they say anyway...  U could also buy some more Li-on batteries with it cuz it's really easy to change them when you put that thing on ur DS.

But maybe this is a cheaper option:

CLICKY!

Needs 4 AAA batteries to play 9,5 hours without light and 7 with light.

I heard it from somebody else and because of that I bought screen protectors so I don't have that problem.

GBAMP uses Compact Flash cards. Quality can be very good. U can choose between low, mid and high res.
Here are some movies of the GBAMP

GBA Movie Player Demo using Gameboy Player (4.15MB)

GBA Movie Player Demo using Gameboy Advance SP (1.10MB)

The first movie (and maybe the second too) was made using v1 of the GBAMP which doesn't have the ability to play NES roms. So v2 (which is also smaller) has another option in the menu to play NES roms.

And here is a Gamespot video review on GBAMP v2 (the guy doesn't talk about the NES roms though...):

Apparantly, u really don't care about the price... So yeah, buy Play-Yan. It's an official Nintendo product which makes it the best. And there won't be any problems using it on a north american DS. Why would there be? The DS is region free and even if it isn't, japan and america both use NTSC. I bought a $25,- GBA Movie Player myself. A $90,- Play-Yan at lik-sang is too much for me... Well I CAN buy it but I rather spend that money on games.

LOL u all got such weird ideas...
I got a pretty good one for four swords with 2 screens. A Link underground and a Link... not-underground. For example, there's a plant growing somewhere with a lot of uhhh... water suck thingies which makes it impossible for the bottom screen Link to continue so the top screen Link can pull it out for him.
And a single player game... Well I guess u could use it for ur inventory, map and saving the game.
There's at least ONE thing they should put in a four swords game before they think of ANYTHING else. 1 gamepack, max 4 players. I had to wait a year before I could finally play four swords on the GBA cuz no one had it...

True, and there's also one screen. But at least you'll know a lil bit how it's gonna be.

Err... what are u talking about?

DemaSked is a project by Warp Pipe to get the DS online that's not (yet) supported by Nintendo. So no those aren't connected. And I don't think something like that will be announced at the E3 cuz... It's kinda... already announced. Here's their site www.demasked.com

So how is a 2D Zelda gonna use 2 screens? Tell us ur master plan.

I love 2D Zelda games too and I'm pretty sure Flagship is gonna make more of them.  Does anyone know if Flagship is making Zelda DS? Cuz if it is im pretty sure it will be 2D. Too bad The Minish Cap was kinda short but when I think about it it's probably my fav 2D Zelda.

But I still like the idea of a portable 3D Zelda...

What's wrong with a 3D Zelda on a handheld? I would LOVE to play OoT on the DS! MM too but they would probably put a save everywhere option in there because it's on a handheld which will ruin the game IMO.

A lot of sites say the release will be on  09/12/2005 (including GameSpot and IGN which are the best out there IMO). So... ain't that official release date?

And did u people know there was already an Animal Crossing game on the N64 called Animal Forest? Yeah ofcourse it was japan only... -_-"

Nintendo Gaming / RE: noob to DS w/ a couple questions
« on: January 05, 2005, 09:52:01 AM »
Well u really should buy Feel the Magic. Normally I wouldn't buy minigame games cuz they get boring after a while but since the DS doesn't have much games I just gave it a shot and it's fun while it lasts. It also uses everything the DS has to offer (touch, mic and 3D) which makes it a must-have.

It's true that there are not much nice DS games right now but be patient. In March all these games should be in stores (some already in February):

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Sonic
Dynasty Warriors
Rayman
Egg Monster Heroes

Well I won't be suprised if u never heard of Egg Monster Heroes but saying it's a Square-Enix RPG with lots of humor is enough right? It's kind of a parody on Hanjuku Hero (a game only released in JAP). Now I'm not sure if Sonic is gonna be a big hit cuz I saw some screens on the official Nintendo site (they aren't there anymore BTW) and it looked like ya have to move the stylus really fast to make Sonic run but that could've been a tech demo (I sure hope so).

Now about the thumbstrap... Well I think that's always gonna be a choice in 3D DS games and I really don't have much problems using it. What else besides the D-pad can u use? I personally hate the D-pad.

Nope, but it's a port from the GC version so just look at those.

By your logic I should buy a PSP because of all the great DS games.

I meant that I bought a DS cuz of the great games on the it. But I think u already knew I meant that...
