teased project has been revealed to be Pole's Big Adventure, an 8-bit platforming game for WiiWare. Produced by Phantasy Star Universe producer Takao Miyoshi, Pole's Big Adventure is a classic platformer as you travel from left to right avoiding or shooting enemies.
In addition to the old-school play style, Pole's Big Adventure also appears to have a sense of humor. The levels will feature over 100 hidden gags, such as your character eating a bunch of Mario-styled mushroom power-ups and growing so tall that only his feet are visible on the screen.
In the article it is referred to as a 'Touch Famicom' game, which may suggest more games in a similar vein are in the works.
Pole's Big Adventure is scheduled to release in Japan on February 3 for 500 Wii Points ($5).
