Nintendo Gaming / Animal Crossing Wii U What to improve and add
« on: May 22, 2014, 04:41:48 PM »
My idea: Animal Crossing Wii U with Nintendogs

My ideas for improving the Animal Crossing forumla for Wii U.

1) When you pick up money's from floor it goes automatically into your wallet (no need to go inventory, than drag to wallet)
2) Earn money from winning fishing /bug tournaments and more ways overall ways to make money easier
3) Auto stack fruits and items in inventory
4) Tools have a specific section in inventory so you don't accidentally sell them and don't take room
5)View other people recycle shop and buy items from them or have massive online auction house system for selling products
6) More random weather and town events like a tornado happening or cat burglar in town
7) Able to send letters to best friends in other towns
8) Expand housing to include a backyard and front yard, you can have pool, porch, trees, fences, yard furniture
9) Better way for villagers to give you works projects
10) More works projects and interactivity
11) Allow product placement from big companies like ikea, mcdonalds, levi
12) Grid like system to see where works projects and items will be so you know how it fits before you put it down
13) Add nintendodogs and cats to the game just take the entire game and put inside of Animal crossing, need to buy home owners insurance to protect furniture, walk dog around in your town, pet shop in town, you need to potty train them or else poop all over the house
14) My town tv where you showcase your house and town and post to YouTube
15) Allow you to optionally have same speaking found in tamachaci life for animals
16) more variety to what villagers say and ask you to do and what they talk about
17) Better Facebook, Miiverse and Twitter integration
18) Furniture items are playable, dart board is mini game you can play with friends or by yourself
19) More mini games for island and diversity on who lives on island
20) Give Isabel her own nice house have the shop animals have more lives and walk around town and do stuff

My idea for Wii U: Super Mario All Stars HD +

Ok remember Mario 3 on GBA had the e-reader cards? Expand that out on Wii U and this is my idea for NFC Mario Wii U game.
Super Mario All Stars HD +

Mario 1,2,3,World and Lost levels with super pretty graphics with a united graphical theme between games and fully orchestrated music with up to 4 players and each game has an extra world and make a level/share level/upload level to youtube option. And the kicker is scanning NFC figures into the games adds to the gameplay with characters, and power ups not normally found in the game.

Want to play raccoon mario in mario 2? Just scan the NFC feather statue
Want to play with Yoshi in Mario 1? Just scan the NFC statue
Want to play as Kirby in Super Mario Lost levels? Just scan the NFC Statue
Want to play as Samus in Mario 3? Just scan the figure

Just imagine in the insane awesomeness of Mario 3 with 4 players, one person playing as Donkey kong riding yoshi, another person playing as peach with hammer suit, another person playing as kirby who just floating around the screen and one person is double cherry mario.

If you want to just play Mario All Stars HD + without the figures , but you get so much more by buying all the figures.

Thoughts? Reactions? How hard would this be to program?

I played out face raiders and AR games and sadly they are interested in updating those aps with new levels. I think both games with features of Wii U could be much better games. AR games can use NFC cards and face raiders can use better gamepad controls. I totally see this as a $5 eshop download ap for both games and that flight video thing.

Thoughts?

I transferred everything over, I didn't use the SD card that had the downloaded games on it because it said all my data will be deleted. So now i have a 2nd sd card with all my games on it but neither wii or wii u (virtual wii) will play them. So I have to redownload all the old games from the crappy wii shop store. UGH

Nintendo Gaming / Updates NOW available in E-shop games
« on: January 05, 2012, 08:43:14 PM »
Go to Other Options in E-shop and go to downloads (NOT UPDATES WTF?!! ) and all your downloads that have an update will have banner on them. Several games got updated from Super Mario Land to Pushmo, to Netflix.

I have no clue what the updates do but you need to download something. I am not sure if saved data is changed or anything.

Nintendo Gaming / Swapnote / Nintendo Letter Box now available worldwide

Swapnote / Nintendo Letter Box is a communication ap for 3DS that lets you send text, picture, video, and audio messages to friends via spot pass and street pass.

I think it's safe to assume this ap will be released worldwide this thursday on eshop.

So starting this weekend (Christmas) we should be able to send each other pictures and stuff. I'm not sure if it's a tiny ap and can be placed in background like web browser , or if it takes up the entire RAM

Nintendo Gaming / Cool 3D website found
« on: September 05, 2011, 10:12:26 PM »
My brother told me about this and I really like too.

http://3dporch.com/

It has 3d images you can save onto your 3DS and view via the web browser. It also lets you look at it on your pc in different ways. It wiggles the image to give you the impression of 3d, and it also has different modes you can view stuff. It's all user generated and has tons of quality pictures to see. It's easy to upload your own pictures and share them with others.

This individual I love his work:

http://3dporch.com/users/orioto

Deviant Art high detail pictures of videogame scenes, they look great in 3D and I saved almost all of them on my SD card.

My account is:

So you can look at my work. Sadly the website does not let you vote pictures so its just a bunch of galleries but still worthy thing to look at

Nintendo Gaming / Adding 3DS Local Friends : It refuses to work
« on: August 11, 2011, 08:21:59 PM »
A co-worker bought a 3DS and we tried to do local friend exchange during a break. It sometimes found me, and sometimes I found him. Anyway when we clicked on the card it would process but ALWAYS receive an error and not save the new friend. I was sitting less than a foot away from him so no clue why it took so long to find me or why it never completed the friend exchange.

Any suggestions? Wireless was on for both of us, and we already street passed each other fine. I checked my parental settings and it allows local friend exchanges. So I have no clue what the problem is.

Nintendo Gaming / 3DS Sound ap is limited to 100 items
« on: July 08, 2011, 10:39:05 PM »
My iPod is getting fixed so I have placed more songs and podcasts on my 3DS to listen to via the sound ap. Anyway I found an odd limitation. After you reach 100 songs it will stop displaying them. It does not matter if it is the correct format, it won't show it. Its sort of annoying because you can hold allot more than 100 songs on 2gig sd card.
It also takes about a minute to start loading the songs in the folder, so more songs equals more time to display them. My SD card still has plenty of space so it is a limitation on the 3DS hardware itself.

Just thought it was interesting to post

Nintendo Gaming / Wait a minute RUMBLE does exist on 3DS
« on: June 05, 2011, 05:40:08 PM »
I went to best buy a little while ago and I played the demo of Steel Diver and I noticed when I hit the sea floor it rumbled. I wasn't impressed with the slow nature and awkward controls of Steel Diver, but the rumble was a big surprise. I don't think it was built in rumble but via the speakers. The music is very minimal in the game and it seemed to use BASS to make a rumble on the top of the 3DS unit whenever you hit a sea wall. I went home and tried some songs on the music ap with strong bass and indeed it works . The top screen slightly rumbles because of the speakers which is normal to any speaker system and high bass  however to my knowing this is the only game to use this to emulate rumble. Could other programmers use high bass to emulate rumble in games? Nintendo obviously did in Steel Diver.

General Gaming / Do you still buy games for dead consoles ?
« on: January 06, 2011, 07:46:58 PM »
I just bought Burnout 2 and playing it on my Wii. I have also bought Super Monkey Ball, and Crazy Taxi after the fact that gamecube is dead but I still play them on my Wii. What games have you bought for 'dead consoles' ?

General Chat / Any ideas for good gift for 6 year old girl for Christmas ?
« on: November 26, 2010, 09:03:58 PM »
My Niece currently has a DSi and will get a Wii for Christmas. She has pretty much all the Disney movies and has plenty of barbies. I bought her a webkinz dog last year, FYI.

I was thinking of a DS game but I don't want to buy her crappy like Imagine babyz or something, but a decent game that a 6 year old girl will enjoy. I think Mario games might be too difficult for her and obviously something with very limited if no reading.  Kirby Epic Yarn sounds great but I don't want to spend $50 on her but more like $20-35

She does own Nintendogs btw

General Chat / The Mcrib has returned !!!!!!

I was thinking of buying this for my older sister for Christmas, but I doubt she would care about the music cd, the history booklet and the club nintendo registration. So basically I would be giving the  dvd case with the disk and I keep the extras. I don't care about owning the game since I have all the games. I still have a DS lite and Mario 2,3,World cartridges for GBA and Mario Lost levels and 1 on Virtual console so all the games are easily played for me. I'm just thinking if this would be a shady move by my part?  oh yeah I also have 3 classic controllers because goldeneye so I could toss in a classic controller that I don't need into the mix.
Is this a bad thing? I bet she won't even know the mario collection is coming out so she will be clueless to all the contents of the package.

General Chat / FYI: This sunday will be 10-10-10
« on: October 08, 2010, 10:11:09 PM »
It's a very rare numerical chance. Will the world end at 10:10am ? Will it a new world start 10:10 PM?

October 10th is my birthday so this is very cool event for me.

NPR recently talked about 10-10-10 :

And this website talks about special aspects of this day too:

General Chat / Which web based tv show you like more?
« on: July 14, 2010, 09:04:11 PM »
I can't stand Tosh.0 I just think he is a big douche and Web Soup is sometimes really bad, but in a funny way. I always liked the Soup TV shows and still enjoy Talk Soup so Web soup is the easy winner for me.

I'm very tempted into buying Amazon.com's special for Super Mario Galaxy 2. Buy the game and get a $20 credit.

The problem is Nintendo games release on SUNDAY. WHich obviously will not be shipped on that day. Amazon does have Free shipping option for anything over $30 . I want to play this game ASAP not weeks after it releases. Amazon shipping is fairly quick but I don't want to wait, but I do want the $20. I'm not sure what to do.

Does anyone have any experience buying Nintendo games that release on Sunday online and how long it takes to actually get it? If I get it 2-3 days after release that's ok but I want to play the game sooner rather than later.

General Gaming / Should Consoles have a death date ?
« on: December 07, 2009, 07:32:32 PM »
They have a release date, but should they have a date where the publisher (Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft) says nobody else can make NEW games for x console or x handled. The console or handheld is officially dead and it is time to move onto the next generation.

Nintendo and Microsoft sort of dropped all support for GAMECUBE and XBOX and 3rd party developers dropped support quickly after. So it wasn't a dead date but they pretty much pulled the plug early on.

New games are still releasing for PS2 many of which are big name titles like Madden, or Silent hill. I think PS3 would have a much better sales if Sony put a death date onto the PS2 being January 1st 2008. How many more people would buy a PS2 in 2008 if they knew for a fact not a single new game was going to be released in the future.

Typically a 5 year life span existed, but that isn't really the case anymore.

Nintendo Gaming / What Wii Mario game do you enjoy most ?
« on: December 07, 2009, 07:21:09 PM »
So this should be an interesting poll. What you ENJOY more is not the same as BEST QUALIY. So think about it before you vote.

I gotta vote for Galaxy, I thought the  gameplay was fresh and exciting yet familiar to anyone who enjoyed 3d mario games. I really do love NSMBW but it's just one great 2d mario, not really huge leap forward

24
I know they did last year and that was when they showed off DSi and Punch-Out Wii. SO I am curious if Nintendo will have another megaton event this year.
I want Pikmin 3 and Zelda Wii trailers !!

General Chat / New Gold coins with different US Presidents on it.
« on: September 30, 2009, 10:27:27 PM »
So today at work a customer gave me a gold coin. It had a picture of " Martin Van Buren"

 ??? ??? ??? :o :o :o

I looked at it, and looked at the reverse and had a picture of Statue of Liberty and $1 on it.

So I accepted it. I gave it to another customer later that day, but I was totally unaware that new gold colored dollar coins were in circulation.

I looked it up and found this:

http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/$1coin/

So basically they printing old coins for every US President in order.
Including the Presidents who already are on coins.

They even changed the model for Presidents who already have a coin

look at Andrew Jackson

he has a superman curl !!  ;D ;D :D

So sometime soon President Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Carter will be able to see themselves in a coin. That's pretty cool to be alive to see yourself in a coin.

just fyi
