Two More Tingle Games Coming to Japan
« on: June 25, 2009, 02:46:04 PM »
The lovable middle-aged fairy from The Legend of Zelda series will star in a DSiWare title and a retail DS title.
 http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=18938

The latest issue of Famitsu revealed that Tingle, the weird Legend of Zelda character, will have two new games based around him, including one of which is already out now.

That one is a DSiWare game called Too Much Tingle Pack. It released for the service last week in Japan and is priced at 500 Nintendo Points. Too Much Tingle Pack is a tool title that consists of five different devices: fortune telling, a coin flipper, a calculator, a marionette that dances in front of pictures, and a timer.

The second game will be a retail DS title called Color Changing Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love, in which the main goal is to help find the fairy man a girlfriend. No gameplay details were shown.

There are currently no plans to release either title outside of Japan.

Strangely enough, this is not the first time Tingle has received his own game. In 2006, a DS title called Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland was released in Japan. The title was localized for Europe in 2007, but never saw release in the United States.

The DSi title is a App (like all the other clocks and stuff), not a game. So it's actually "One Tingle game and one Tingle App coming to Japan".

Color Changing Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love

LOL, that is an amazing title. Help Tingle find a girlfriend...I almost don't want to see what she would be like.

I'm enjoying the first Tingle game, and I really want to see what kind of game Color Changing Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love is supposed to be in terms of gameplay mechanics.

I think he was trying to hit on Pingle in Rosy Rupeeland.

at least the ap is packed of goodies. It could have been 5 crappy aps but they got smart and included it all in one package. That's nice.

When I saw Tingle for the first time my thought was "Now that's a handsome man!"

I feel sick even joking about that. Tingle is seriously hideous. Good luck finding him a girlfriend.

fail, fail, and more fail!

Come on Nintendo! There are way better spin off ideas: Kat & Ana's ninja adventures, Ashley's magic wand Wii, Pirating the high seas with Tetra, any game staring Daisy/Rosaline/Zelda, Luigi Manson 2, etc.....

I don't know if most Nintendo characters warrant having their own full game.

HOWEVER

I just had an idea. What about a game compilation which gives each character their own "game" of sorts? You know how Toad starred in Wario's Woods? It could be games like that... only maybe some larger games. They could have one compilation for Mario characters and another one for Zelda characters. It would be awesome.

Sounds like a reskinned Balloon Fight.
They already released Tingle's Balloon Fight through Club Nintendo in Japan.  Do you think it's the same thing or something more?

Maybe it is an expanded sequel to Balloon Fight?

Sounds like you just want more games starring women. ;)
