Talkback

After hearing Zach’s pick for RE: Revelations, I decided to check my 3DS activity log to surprisingly find I had spent 62:25 hours on Revelations; coming in second, only to Mario Kart 7 by an hour. It’s an overlooked game with graphics that rival Nintendo‘s best on the platform, with content they would never make.  Revelations returns to its roots better that RE6. Revelations also has exemplary use of 3D; I jacked the 3D settings up to very strong and never looked back. By comparison, other games seem to limit the 3D; even though there is the depth slider and the option to turn it off completely. Given the choice, RE gets it right here. Games released in February often don’t get promoted well enough. It would be nice to see more marketing for this game on the eShop, as it is one of the best 3DS exclusives. Capcom just needs to get it digital.

A digital RE: Revelations would certainly be more attractive. Maybe even just like a $10-$20 Raid mode download.

RE: Revelations did what Assassin's Creed III and MGS3D did for their respective series: made me realize it's not my favorite type of game. I loved Twin Snakes/RE4, but not much else in any of those series ever grabbed me much. I understand they can be real good, but it just doesn't work for me.

Really enjoyed this episode.  ;D

Glad to hear I wasn't the only person who enjoyed RE:Revelations and spent a lot of time playing. Easily one of my favorite games on 3DS, but sometimes it feels like there just wasn't a receptive audience for it on the handheld.
