Video is nice, but for these types of comparisons, given the compression factor of YouTube, it's probably better to zoom in on some stills and make a comparison there. In any event, overall, I'd say they're pretty comparable.
More than Comparable. To me they look EXACTLY the same. Except for the lights and boost on the back of the cars.
Ceric, I'd say that octopus/squid robot thing has a bit more flair and detail in the Wii U version. I noticed some landscaping details that were graphically better on the Sonic level in the Wii U version, too.
I guess it does look a little better in that long distance shot.
Let's say -- for argument's sake -- that they do look exactly the same (I think there are some subtle additions to the WiiU version, but certainly nothing you would "miss" if you only played the 360 version). What you're now saying is that a 7 year old, maxed-out system looks the same as a freshly launched system.
Imagine, then, what the WiiU will look like after devs have pushed its hardware to the limits. Go back and look at Kameo for the 360. Look at how the "HD" graphics from the system's launch to today have improved. There's no reason to suspect that the WiiU won't go through the same evolution period.
Well, yeah, that should be a no brainer. Compare any launch title of any system with some of their last big titles (as long as they were actually around long enough to experience that growth).
no brainer, sure, but we all know haters don't use their brains ;-)
Both look great.
By the way, for the record, I love this game. It is my personal Wii U killer app right now.
