I wasn't aware of game 5's existence at all but it sounds right up my alley. I'll have to look into it.

Posting this one a bit early, as I haven't listened to the whole episode, but...

flies appear if you let the gamepad idle for 15 minutes, have a very tiny chance of appearing randomly when you move a block, or the most consistent way to spawn flies is to shake a Muncher, which I feel is appropriate that the symbol of shitty, awful Kaizo Mario hacks belches out pestilence when you shake it.

okay, I'm done. 3/5. I got games 1, 2, and 5 correct.

Game 3 I had ZERO clue, and Game 4, I actually managed a pretty close guess in Super Dodgeball.

Game 5 I guessed simply by proxy of recognising what the music usually sounds like in a Nippon Ichi game and then trying to think of what they've done on Nintendo Hardware. I have a friend who really thinks Game 5 is really awful in comparison to games that have very similar gameplay such as Makai Kingdom and he really didn't like the tone of it either given how sort of depressing Marona's tale is. my own knowledge of Phantom Brave is limited to the fact that it's NIS tradition that all their franchises have to non-sensically cross over into each other, so Marona and Ash have been in a couple of disgaea games, and I know Laharl is in Phantom Brave... and Asagi from the canceled Makai Wars is in both Phantom Brave and Soul Nomad as a joke character! isn't this educational?

Game 2 I knew not from personally playing it, but because music was used from it in a Sonic ROM hack I played for funsies.

Also, buy Freedom Planet. it is amazing.
