Did you like the third and fourth games? Let your fellow listeners know in TalkBack! Think you've got a better choice? Then send it my way and your request might be on the next episode of Radio Trivia: Podcast Edition!  Heck, throw in a question and specific songs if you want.  Just remember, it has to be a game found on a Nintendo system in North America (unless we say otherwise)!

This episode was edited by Michael "TYP" Cole. Intro music is copyright Jason Ricci & New Blood. All game music is copyright their respective owners.

Trivia count: 3/5
Own count: 2/5 (games 2 and 4)

Re Game 2: I think James was referring to the Race to the Finish bonus game when he was talking about the one platforming bonus game being the same for everyone.

I got 2 and 4.

4. I owned this game, but rarely played it. I would usually watch the computer fight itself in the built-in tournament mode-quite entertaining, actually. By the way, the versions of SFII available on Nintendo systems are:

Street Fighter II (SNES)
Street Fighter II-Special Championship Editition (Gen-VC)
Street Fighter II-Dash(TG16-VC Import)
Street Fighter II Turbo (SNES)
Super Street Fighter II (SNES)
Street Fighter II (GB)
Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival (GBA)

I've joked you could do a special retroactive on RFN where everyone would pick one or two versions and you could compare them. Also, I've been meaning to do a parody of Angels With Filthy Souls (the fake gangster movie in Home Alone) in which the guy counts through versions of SFII, which takes so long the other guy leaves before the first guy starts shooting and instead he sits down and does a sudoku.

@yoshi1001
That's certainly an interesting way to play the game!

@Shaymin
Yes! That's the one, it didn't come to me during recording...as with other things, like the correct answers!

As for SSF2, I wonder if all that extra content sacrificed music quality, as I definitely remember Turbo sounding better than that, but then again it could be rose-tinted ears

2. By the way, did anyone else notice that a lot the music in this game seems really unbalanced?

I've never heard the music from games 2 and 4, but I kind of thought they were awesome.  I've tried a Bonk game on the VC  to see what the fuss is about, and I was completely underwhelmed; I have a feeling that I'd have similar feelings about game 4.

If you mean the music seems to be biased to the left speaker, yeah, I noticed that while editing. At first I was worried my audio mixer balance was misconfigured. It could be an emulation issue, but that would be a weird emulation bug....

Did my ears deceive me, or was Linderman's  interpretation  of the DK Rap playing in the background at some point?

Also, nice job on Games 2 and 4; 2 was borderline mean though! :D

I'm glad *somebody* noticed :P

For those wondering, the next episode has been recorded, but I haven't had time to start editing yet. I might get it out tomorrow night, but sometime mid-week is more likely. Happy New Year, y'all.
