Pac-Man, one of the first videogame mascot characters ever is coming to Gameboy Advance, courtesy of Namco and Mass Media. Three classic Pac games in 1!

Namco has finally revealed some information about one of its US GameBoy Advance titles, a game we had previously listed as Pacman Advance. The game’s official name is now Pac-Man Fever and it is a collection of classic Pac Man games. There will be at least 3 titles in the game, including Pacmania, Pac-Attack and Pac-Man. Ms. Pacman will not be included in the collection, as she will be appearing alongside Dig Dug and Galaga in Namco Museum.

Pac-Man first appeared in arcades in 1980. Its simple gameplay literally took the world by storm and ushered in an arcade-game craze, helping make the videogame world an "industry." Not to say that the pacster is responsible for all this, though there's no denying the little guy helped kickstart it.

Since then, Pac-Man has been pretty busy! He's gotten married, had a kid, had his own cartoon show, gained a super-heroic friend, eaten dots in 3D and even gone on his own platforming adventures... The Pac-Man franchise continues to be a strong one and his creators, Namco, happily continue to exploit his popularity.

More recently, it has been announced that Pac-Man Advance will be coming to Gameboy Advance, from Namco and Mass Media. What type of game this will be is uncertain, as Pac-Man doesn't just mean running from ghosts and eating dots these days. With the GBA's impressive handheld hardware, it should be intriguing to see Pac-Man Advance take form. As it does, you can count on hearing more from us!
