Includes confirmation of a Star Fox delay, plus an English release of Final Fantasy I&II. Mario Tennis and Mario Party 6 due this year.

Nintendo News: Nintendo Announces Extensive Q4 Software Lineup

In addition to the previously announced software titles in development

for the upcoming Nintendo DS(TM), Nintendo has an extensive list of

games planned for the fourth quarter of 2004 for both Nintendo

GameCube(TM) and Game Boy(R) Advance. The first- and third-party

titles cover all genres, from sports games to adventure games.

These games will carry Nintendo through a strong holiday season and

into January, when two big games launch: Capcom's Resident Evil(R) 4

for Nintendo GameCube and The Legend of Zelda(R): The Minish Cap for

Game Boy Advance. These will be followed in 2005 by the release of

highly anticipated games like Star Fox(R), Geist(TM), Donkey Kong(R)

Jungle Beat and many more.

Nintendo GameCube already is enjoying a dramatic surge in popularity.

In its first week of sales, the Metroid(R) Prime Bonus Bundle caused a

spike in Nintendo GameCube sales of 48 percent over the previous week.

The bundles accounted for almost 80 percent of all Nintendo GameCube

systems sold by top retailers.

The formatting with multiline titles is off.

couchmonkeyAugust 26, 2004

I can really feel the difference in third party support for GameCube this year. There are still half a dozen games from last year that I have yet to play, but there are only two or three third party titles that I really desire to play in that list. Kind of disappointing on the one hand, but a chance to catch up with all the games I never played on the other hand.

IwantanIpodAugust 26, 2004

Am I the only one who noticed GTA:Advance?

Was that game announced? This is the first I've heard of it besides rumors, but the rumors were a few years ago.

I fixed up the formatting, so it should be easier to read now.

GameCube has 31 titles in these three months. That's really not very many at all. As couchmonkey says, you can really see the toll that has been taken to GameCube's support from publishers. It's kind of sad to see the completely unproven DS getting more and better third-party support than the well established GameCube platform.

GTA Advance has been in development for quite a while, although not much is known about the title.

Ian SaneAugust 26, 2004

The Cube may only have 31 titles coming out in three months but that lineup is a million times better than the larger GBA lineup. I count at least six really amazing Cube titles in that list and really why would I need to buy more than two titles a month? The GBA list is full of ports and sh!tty licensed titles. The Cube needs more support because it needs more variety and it needs more titles to attract more buyers. But in just the amount of titles released I don't see why us Cube owners would need more. Still it is a noticable drop but at the very least it's better than the N64.

MARIO TENNIS COMES OUT THIS YEAR! YES! heart.gif

*but is upset that Minish Cap isn't on the list ;_;*

"That's really not very many at all."

Whatever! Not only do I have too many GC games to get as it is, I have to somehow get the few GBA games I want AND a DS/games... ;_;

BlkPaladinAugust 26, 2004

Megaman Anniversy Edition has been moved back again. :/ (Last time I checked it was September...)

Were's the DS release list?

jarobAugust 26, 2004

You may only buy 2 titles, but having a variety of games to choose from is nice. 31 games is not a lot. Looks like GameCube is winding down.

Bill AurionAugust 26, 2004

Not if it's a variety of CRAP...

SylAugust 26, 2004

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (October 11th, 2004: Nintendo)
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes (November 15th, 2004: Nintendo)

Viewtiful Joe 2 (November 23rd, 2004: Capcom)
Prince Of Persia Warrior Within (November 2004: Ubisoft)
+Pikmin II
+Donkey Konga

Kirby & The Amazing Mirror (October 18th, 2004: Nintendo)
Mega Man Anniversary Collection (November 9th, 2004: Capcom)
+F-Zero GP Legend

Try telling that to IGN. Of course, they'll just turn it around and call you a blind fanboy.

nickmitchAugust 26, 2004

Unlike some of these negative nacies I'll be rejoicing from this list and then get depressed because there's no way I'll be able to afford to buy all those games. . .

NinGurl69 *hugglesAugust 26, 2004

u save now!

BloodworthDaniel Bloodworth, Staff AlumnusAugust 26, 2004

I'm with TVman. I had to make a list of games and prioritize them to ensure I don't make myself go broke.

dafunkk12August 26, 2004

"Get On Da Floor?" Does anyone else smell dance pad? If so, maybe with the hardware barrier broken, Konami may consider porting over DDR. "May."

I'll be glad if it causes an unbutchered version of DDR to make it to Australia, even on ps2 (I own all systems holla)

norebonomisAugust 30, 2004

wasn't LoZ:TMC supposed to come out in november? now it's january '05? POOPCAKES!

Hostile CreationSeptember 01, 2004

My list looks like:
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Maybe Mario Party 6
Maybe Paper Mario
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror

And "Oct. 26 Ice Nine BAM!"? Eh? Are they making a video game about Cat's Cradle. That would be freaking retarded, but it really couldn't be much else.
