FANTASTIC POKéMON VALUE!

Exclusive Pokémon Colosseum Mega Pak Hits the High Street

Go Pokémon crazy this summer with the launch of the incredible Pokémon Colosseum Mega Pak. Included in the Mega Pak is a black Nintendo GameCube, a copy of the new game Pokémon Colosseum, the Pokédex organiser - Pokémon Box, a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance Link Cable and a Memory Card 251 that will give you plenty of space to save your Pokémon game. The Pokémon Colosseum Mega Pak is available from 14th May 2004 across Europe at the estimated retail price of 159 Euros.

Pokémon Colosseum is the first Pokémon game for a home console to feature not only an amazing Battle Mode, but also a fully 3D Pokémon adventure, and is available exclusively on Nintendo GameCube. A new lead character and his partner in the story mode help players to rescue Pokémon that have been captured by an evil entity that is misusing the Pokémon for its own benefit. In the battle mode, Pokémon fans can battle against up to four friends in two-player versus two-player combat. In multiplayer battles, one player uses the Nintendo GameCube controller and additional players are linked to the game via their Game Boy Advance systems and Pokémon Ruby or Pokémon Sapphire game. With this exclusive offer players not only get the game, but also a sleek black Nintendo GameCube on which to play it!

Additionally, the Pokémon Colosseum Mega Pak also gives players the opportunity to experiment with the much talked about Pokémon Box. This unique device is an extension of the Pokédex found in the Game Boy Advance games Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire. It gives players a truly interactive experience, allowing them to display, organise and store a total of 1500 Pokémon captured in Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire in a structured, full 3D format on the big screen. Players can also play Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire on the big screen through the Pokémon Box without using a Game Boy Player. Players will also be able to take pictures from Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire and use them as background images on their Pokémon Box. This is an all new, never seen before feature!

Finally, players can get their hands on a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance Link Cable and a Memory Card 251, both included in the Mega Pak. This is an offer not to be missed!

Pokemon Colosseum launches in Europe on 14th May 2004 for the estimated retail price of around 60 Euros. A free Memory Card 59 is included with each game.

I just want Pokemon Box.

Indeed. Why didn't NOA create a deal like this? I mean come on, if they've already translated Pokémon Box, most people will need a new memory card to play Colosseum, plus that GBA link cable sure would be handy (even if there seems to be a trend to have it packed in or given away with preorders for more and more games these days) for most who would be interested in the game, those who have a GBA and Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire. Seems like if Nintendo wants to use the popularity of Pokémon to sell more GameCubes, this would be the best way to do it. Oh well... I guess I can keep hoping that Pokémon Box will eventually be a giveaway at Nintendo.com or in some other way.

is there any word on just getting pokemon box anytime soon?

...the HELL? The US version of Pokémon Colosseum doesn't come with a free Memory card? The Japanese version comes with this pretty clear black one, as well as two "Pokémon Colosseum" labels so that you know what game save is on it. At forty plus blocks, you reckon that Nintendo would be giving away a memory card 59 for this title, a first party Nintendo game. *sigh*

And yes, there is no good reason why Pokémon Box, especially if it's been translated, can't be released in other English speaking countries. That's the disc that's got the Ruby/Sapphire emulator on it after all. I'm not sure if it will emulate Leaf Green/Fire Red, but if it follows the Stadium games, probably.
