GLEN COVE, NY, March 11, 2004 - Destined to lure consumers with its outlandish array of weaponry and laugh-out-loud moments, Acclaim Entertainment, Inc., today announced that it has shipped Worms 3D for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, the Nintendo GameCube and PC. Worms 3D expands upon the successful turn-based action strategy franchise that has sold over eight million units worldwide.

Worms 3D enhances the classic Worms gameplay, including favorite series' weapons such as ninja ropes, jetpacks and super sheep, as well as hilarious new weapons that were designed to take advantage of the new liberating 3D landscape. Worms 3D also includes fully destructible environments, more than 100 unlockable hidden features and a wide variety of single and multiplayer modes. Worms 3D includes head-to-head online play for both the PC and Xbox.

Worms 3D is currently available for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, the Nintendo GameCube and PC, each at a suggested retail price of $29.99. I wonder if Team 17 fixed the serious bugs in the GC version? PAL version is known to crash at random moments and present a nice screen full of text.
