Source: Finally, the name is here
We now have another new name for the "Dolphin." But is this the real name?
Well, IGN has finally uncovered the word. Move over Project Dolphin and Star Cube...make room for the Nintendo Game Cube. What do you think? Are you saying "Boo" or "Boo-urns"? So let the arguments begin! Personally, I like the shortened N-Cube...though Game Cube really isn't that bad. Of course,... Read more...

Come see the purty GBA cars!!!!!
And it looks pretty! According to the folks at Game Spot, MTO plans to release a racing game called Pocket GT Advance for the Game Boy Advance. Pocket GT Advance will feature a 256 color display, as well as use the psuedo-Mode 7 graphics rotation, and transparencies. No release date has been set. Click here to check out the screenshots. Is it just me, or does it look a lot like old school Pole Position?

Huzzah! Rare's Killer Instinct arcade game comes to your computer!
...right through my modem onto my hard drive, it seems. Looks like I got my birthday wish after all, heh heh. Even this "old" version runs as smooth as butter on my mere 466 mhz. This one doesn't have sound, though. It looks very, very good, to say the least. Arcade perfect. I'll have the full impressions up soon.

What is this thing going to be called?
Well as soon as people started accepting StarCube as the name for Nintendo's next console it looks like it may not turn out to be that at all. Whilst many staffers here at the Planet have remained sceptical about the name StarCube our friends over at IGN64 seem to think that the jury is definitely... Read more...

Developed by Hudson, a new RPG for the Game Boy Advance called Momotaro Matsuri is scheduled to appear at the upcoming Spaceworld show in Japan. Max is a crazy man!
Hopped online today to see Mike Hrusecky had emailed the Planet staff with his discovery of two recently filed Nintendo patents. I excitedly rushed to check it out thinking this was a surefire scoop. I shamelessly fell into frenzy, "could these be system mock-ups?!?" Of course, they weren't. My hopes... Read more...

GBA news will be at GenCon. Wait, the headline already says that. Oh well.
Straight outta my hometown, more news about GBA pops up at GenCon. If you don't know what GenCon is...it's probably the largest Role Playing/Trading Card Game convention in the US. Or...so I've heard. Funny, I lived in brewtown for almost 26 years, and never went to GenCon. Video Game/Computer RPG's seem to be popping up a bit more there. Looks like I should go home more often. :)

Time to start flippin' burgers that much faster kids. Looks it'll cost you around $300 to get you both the Dolphin and GBA. This is not including the accessories, controllers, and of course...all the freakin' games you're going to buy. Gamecenter spoke with Nintendo's George Harrison about price points,... Read more...

Our friend, RareNet Trevor was just in a bad car accident...
I don't know how the hell I missed this, but Trevor from Rarenet was in a horrible car crash this past Sunday. Our hearts go out to him and his family. Trevor and Dan from Rarenet were some of the coolest guys we got a chance to meet this year at E3. As well as some of the toughest to beat in Mario Tennis. ;)

Ken Lobb is cool, but not as cool as Peter Main.
Happy! I hope so! As recently quoted, Ken Lobb offered, "All of you who are attending the Space World pre-show announcement August 24 will be very, very happy."
I would like to announce, on behalf of the PlanetN2000 community, "Ken...please! Make us happy brutha!"
Happy is good. I like happy. Happy thoughts of Dolphin are good. Catch my drift? Space World is weeks away folks! Get ready to start get N-happy!

This conversion process is making my head spin.
Sources close to Nintendo say the Dolphin will still be playable with a D-Pad! So what was all this noise about the Dolphin controller not having a D-Pad? That could be still be true.
Our sources tell us the GBA will be able to be used as a controller for Dolphin as well. The GBA will connect to the Dolphin either through the controller port or a separate connection. Since the GBA has a D-Pad....Taadaa...instant D-Pad.
