Details are still a little sketchy right now, but here's what we can tell you about this "Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Player":

Releasing Spring 2003 (March) in Japan, May 2003 in the US.

Approximately 5000 Yen (around $49.99 USD)

Sits under the GameCube and plugs into the High Speed Parallel Port

Nintendo's marketing plans for Europe this Christmas and a few release dates for next year, including Metroid Prime.

Today a number of release dates were announced for high profile titles in 2003. Firstly, Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 0 will be available from March 2003.

Here are a few quarter specific releases:

Quarter 1 2003

Phantasy Star Online

Super Monkeyball 2

Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon

Today is the official release date of Metroid Prime, and some stores have recieved shipments ...

Don't shoot the messengers if your particular store still doesn't have it, but several of the Electronics Boutique and GameStop chain stores have managed to snag their shipment of Metroid Prime. Several more stores are reporting getting their shipments later tonight. The rest will have the game Tuesday.

Announcement coming at 4:30PM JAPAN time. That's 1:30AM for us in the Central Time Zone ...

Reuters is reporting this morning that Nintendo is holding an announcement tomorrow in Japan regarding "peripherals for its GameCube home videogame console".

features its first coverage of Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime for the

Japanese gamers. Both games are due out in February 2003 in Japan.

About two thirds of the Top 30 chart were populated by PS and PS2 titles.

Take a look at an advertisement for the WaveBird's European welcome.

Next week the WaveBird controller is released across Europe. The advertisement below was seen in this week's edition of MCV, a trade title for the UK games market.

Other releases next Friday include Star Fox Adventures, Ace Golf, Rocky and Ty the Tazmanian Tiger for GameCube as well as Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, Eggo Mania and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for GBA.

Capcom's Japanese website has updated with a huge new section for Production Studio 4, the company's developer suite devoted quite heavily, it seems, to the GameCube platform. Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami is the General Manager of Production Studio 4, which was formed in October 1999. The new website is available in English at the link above.

JALECO ENTERTAINMENT INTRODUCES RACING, TRADING FOR GBA

Buffalo, New York - November 13, 2002 -Jaleco Entertainment™ announces two new titles for the Game Boy® Advance - Karnaaj Rally™ and Sea Trader: Rise of Taipan™ - both due out by the end of the year.

According to Japanese retail shop Seagull Club, Nintendo has its own 16-bit game collection to go on sale for Gamecube soon.

Tentatively known as 'Masterpiece Puzzle Collection', the title will contain Doctor Mario, Panel de Pon, and Yoshi's Cookie.

It is unknown if these titles will be merely ports or will be enhanced somehow.

The price and release date are unknown as well.

"Panel de Pon" is better known to folks in the United States as Tetris Attack.
