Well, Day 2 is over...and once again it's late, I'm tired, and I have to be up again in a few hours.
Day 2 has passed and it wasn't all that different from Day 1. And, like my pre-show impressions, I'm going to slack here so I can feed myself and get as much sleep as I can before waking up early again to hit Day 3. I'll certainly have to re-think the commute for next year. Anyhoo, the main Nintendo... Read more...

WORD! Looks like in the next 24 hours GBA will be hitting Billy's apartment...
I've been pacing frantically in front of my computer for the past 48 hours or so waiting for any sign of shipping information on my import order.
Louie's keeping an eye out the window looking for the beautiful brown truck. An then...in my E-mail arrives...
Dear Mr. William Berghammer

Castlevania and Konami Krazy Racers on GBA are set for a European release...and you know what that means...
Konami of Europe will have Castlevania and Konami Krazy Racers (All-Star Wai Wai Racing in Japan) prepped for the European GBA launch. This is the first mention of either game being released outside Japan at all, and is probably an excellent indicator that they'll be available in North America either at launch or in the next few weeks.

How big is a GBA compared to....Salad?
Craig Harris from IGN Pocket has strived hard to make as many GBA size comparisons as possible. I think he did a fantastic job. I love Nintendo pop art.

Would you camp out overnight in the streets of Japan for a GBA? Of course you would.
Camping out over night in Japan for the GBA, or any system in my opinion would be an honor. Where it all happens. To be the first in the world to nab the tiny tendo badness. Hopefully stores in the US will allow this as well. Or have Midnight sales. Special thanks for Tendo Box for pointing this one out to me.

Day 1 has come and gone at GDC and so has Nintendo...er, well, actually, they didn't really even come so it wasn't hard for them to go.
Well, I’m glad my expectations for Nintendo at GDC were quite low. I thought they were fairly low key last year but they’ve outdone themselves this year. No booth on the expo floor, no private suite (like they had last year), and only 1 lecture about the GameCube. In fact, Nintendo’s main presence... Read more...

Planet GameCube goes deep undercover to find out what the GBA Import Scene is like from the importers themselves.
In my quest to find out more about the possible early GBA launch, I talked to one Import Store employee who was rather talkative about the situation as a retailer, and an importer. He wished to remain anonymous. He likes his job. I don’t blame him. Wish granted. Meet Mr. AnonyMouse.
Planet GameCube: So what’s the situation like from the Import Store point of view? Was it hard to get systems to sell in the US?

According to IGN, Dinosaur Planet is a lock to appear on Gamecube.
While not confirmed by Rare yet, "sources" are saying that Dinosaur Planet was scheduled to becoming a Gamecube title around November of last year, undoubtedly to help pad Nintendo's launch lineup.
No word yet on if the rumors are true, and Nintendo is pushing Rare to turn Dinosaur Planet into a "StarFox" title.

Nintendo's Vice President of Marketing George Harrison pointed to this in a recent interview...
When talking to IGNCube about a completely different issue (well sorta...), George Harrison was asked:
IGNCube: Do you have any estimate for the number of GameCube titles to be shown at E3 and, for that matter, to launch in the US later this year?
George Harrison: Around April 1 Mr. Miyamoto... Read more...

Nintedo is sending letters to retailers, questioning placement of X-Box promotional materials. Rick Powers covers the story ...
Under the guise of promoting industry growth, Nintendo is sending out letters to retailers, questioning the placement of X-Box promotional materials.
Nintendo says that it could damage overall sales by convincing potential buyers to wait for a product that may never arrive.
Nintendo answers some of the questions posed by this letter over at IGN, but this seems to be an odd way to capitalize on Microsoft's recent screenshot faux pas.

The GBA launch is almost upon us (especially so in Japan) and Majesco's going to help Ed try one early.
Thanks to Majesco and their Editor's Day event, I'll be getting a chance to play the Gameboy Advance even before my Japanese import arrives. I'm especially eager to try Iridion 3d, which has looked beautiful in the movies I've seen. Hopefully all their games will look and play well so I can be in GBA nirvana for an hour or two. Look for impressions and updated previews after the press event.

Well, GDC is going to be going into full effect in a few hours, it's about time Ed put up some pre-show thoughts.
GDC 2001 will pretty much mark my first year of being involved with PlanetN2000/PlanetGameCube. Last year, I went to GDC to attend some tutorials and volunteered to help Billy dig up any news on "Dolphin." Of course, I didn't find out much and actually missed the big "delay to 2001" announcement since... Read more...

"Hey Denis, I was wondering what you think of the GBA and also does SK have any plans to develop for it."
