Finally, the most-anticipated announcements are here.

New items have been revealed for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, as reported by the latest Nintendo Direct.

These items are Beetle, POW Block, Bombchu, Fire Bar, Fairy, Ore Club, Hocotate Bomb, Rocket Belt, X Bomb, and Steel Diver.

For new and old characters alike.

Move sets have been detailed for new and old characters in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, as reported by the latest Nintendo Direct.

Old Characters:

-Kirby has a new Final Smash, Ultra Sword

-King Dedede throws Gordos instead of Waddle Dees

-Lucario can Mega Evolve in its Final Smash, and has also been made stronger

Tournament style players will now get to experience some level variety.

Almost every level in the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS will feature a "Final Destination Form." In this form, the level will be completely flat and will not contain level hazards while maintaining the theme of the original level.

Players will experience these Final Destination Form levels in the new For Glory, tournament style, mode.

Players can now add their personal touch to the character's attacks.

The option to customize movesets from a catalogue attacks will be included in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, game director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed during today's special Nintendo Direct.

Several Assist Trophies have been revealed for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games on Wii U and 3DS during today's Nintendo Direct. The full list of Assist Trophies, the game or series they are from, and the Smash Bros. version they appeared in, is as follows:

Yoshi is returning to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, as reported in the lastest Nintendo Direct presentation.

In the presentation, Director Masahiro Sakurai stated that Yoshi is both stronger and stands upright like Bowser does.

A new arcade-style adventure mode called Smash Run was revealed as an exclusive feature in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS during today's Nintendo Direct presentation.

The new water Pokemon will be making his splash onto the Smash Bros. scene.

Greninja was revealed as a playable fighter in today's Smash Bros. Direct.

The new water starter Pokemon will make his debut in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games. His ninja-esque style of play was highlighted at the end of the Direct stream.

And he's learned a new trick...

Charizard will be returning for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games.

The fire Pokemon will be making his return following his debut with Pokemon Trainer in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This time, however, he will be going solo.

He will also be able to Mega Evolve, though the details concerning that were not clear.

Play nice and don't cheat, in other words.

The upcoming Smash Bros. games will implement a system where multiple infractions will result in a temporary ban.

These include cheating, dropping out of a game early, targeting a single opponent and frequent self destruction.

Those who report baselessly will also result in a ban.

A Mega Man stage includes the Yellow Devil boss.

Bosses will appear in certain stages of Super Smash Bros.

Fighters will have to battle the boss, as well as fight each other. These bosses will allow for different strategies to be used to damage opponents.

Now independent characters, these veterans come with a few new moves.

Zero Suit Samus and Sheik will feature as playable characters in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U, this time as completely independent fighters.

During today's Nintendo Direct, game director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that these fighters will no longer change form from Samus and Zelda, respectively -- a change from past games in the series.

Of course Pokémon are set for battle!

A number of Pokémon have been confirmed for use as assist items in the upcoming Smash Bros. games.

One of the new features for the Pokémon items is use of the Master Ball. With this item, you'll be able to use legendary and more powerful Pokémon for use in battle.

Pokémon that were included in the Nintendo Direct are Kyruem, Vicinti, Staryu, Fennekin, Xerneas, Kedeleo, Melotta, Entei, Palkia, and Deoxys.

Stages have been confirmed for both versions.

A lengthy list of stages has been confirmed for both the 3DS and Wii U versions. Some stages will be classic stages, and each version will have their own different classic stages.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U slated for this winter.

The upcoming Super Smash Bros. games have received two separate release date windows. Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS will be released this summer. The Wii U version will be released this winter.

This was revealed today in the Nintendo Direct concerning the upcoming games.

Get your groove on, there's plenty of tunes to come!

Super Smash Bros. on Wii U will feature the My Music option previously found in Brawl. Each stage will contain a choice of several relevant music pieces to choose from, and alter the frequency in which particular songs will appear each time you play a specific stage. It is yet to be revealed if collectible CDs with additional music tracks will appear in the game, as was seen in Brawl.

Every character will run at 60 FPS in stereoscopic 3D, but assist trophies and Pokémon can't.

The 3DS version of the new Super Smash Bros. will run at 60 frames per second.

The whole game will run in stereoscopic 3D. Some assist trophies or Pokémon will run at 30 frames per second, but these will not affect the fighters' frame rate of 60 FPS.

Monopolize your Zelda and/or Pokémon fandom.

Southern Hobby Supply has posted listings for new Zelda and Pokémon-based Monopoly games.

Both Monopoly Pokémon Edition and Monopoly Legend of Zelda Edition are set to release August 21, 2014, as reported by the website.

A 550-piece The Legend of Zelda puzzle was also listed, which Hobby Supply lists as releasing a week earlier on August 15. It features various characters from the series and measures 18" x 24".

Mario goes golfing and you become an artist in this month's rewards.

Four new games are available as rewards on Club Nintendo this month.

The games included are Trajectile, Super Mario World, Art Academy: First Semester, and Mario Golf.

A DSiWare title, Trajectile has you bouncing missiles around to solve puzzles. For 200 coins, you can download it on 3DS eShop.
