ITV are running a contest to find the greatest gamer in the UK. Trials begin this weekend!
Beginning this Saturday there is an ITV Game Stars tour to find the "Greatest gamer in the UK". Regional heats will take place in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Belfast. These will involve playing three games at random from a selection of 11 on GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox with times or scores recorded.

Plus, release dates for Mario Golf (GameCube) and Advance Wars 2 (GBA).
Nintendo of America has announced that GameCube sales in February increased 110% over January sales. The GameCube software tie-ratio now stands at 8.4 games for every system on a year-to-date basis. The sales boost is attributed to Nintendo's bundle offer, which gives new GameCube owners a free game with the system.

Earlier today, Sega’s Japanese website released a new movie of their upcoming futuristic racer. The footage features a montage of different tracks and races pieced together while a quasi-techno guitar riff screams along with the video. The lawfirm of Cauley Geller Bowman Coates & Rudman is filing a class action lawsuit against Acclaim Entertainment on behalf of Acclaim's investors. The complaint alleges that Acclaim issued statements about the company's income and financial performance that were either misleading or false, and that investors suffered as a result.

An interview was recently conducted with various Sega developers by Kikizo games. One of the people interviewed was Noriyoshi Oba of Sega's OverWorks development studio, which is responsible for Skies of Arcadia Legends. A quote from the interview states that the studio is currently working on a sequel to the critically-acclaimed GameCube RPG.

Blizzard releases a playable demo of its upcoming GBA conversion of the SNES classic.
Blizzard’s hopping into the handheld realm with a bang by re-releasing the 16-bit classic The Lost Vikings under the “Blizzard Classic Arcade” brand. To prepare fans for its March 26th release Blizzard has posted a playable demo on its site. Players must coordinate all three Vikings to succeed—the controls can be found on the site. The Lost Vikings Demo requires Macromedia Flash to run.

Update:Told you that you needed to move fast. They're sold out now!
FAO Schwarz is going out of business, and they're clearing out stock, and they have Indigo GameCubes for $66.98.
It's unknown how long this amazing deal will last, but I'd highly suggest that if you don't have a GameCube, or are looking to replace a broken one, you're not going to get a much better deal than this.
