Welcome to another week of classic game downloads on Nintendo's Virtual Console service. The Big N is coming out of the gate again this week with another 16-bit heavyweight, while Sega finally releases the last of the three games that should have been available last month. A whimpy TG16 game rounds out the three newbies that you can nab through the Wii Shop Channel.

In a rather low-key announcement, Zorro Productions revealed on their web site that there is a new Zorro video game in the works, and it's coming to Wii.

Telltale Games is looking for a Wii programmer. Are Wii players due to get Sam & Max or other episodic content?
Friend of NWR and all-around fun guy, Chris Kohler recently noticed that Telltale Games has posted a job listing for a Wii Systems Programmer.
While the developer has only been around since 2004, the company is headed up by guys that created some of the top adventure games for LucasArts back in the day. They've had recent success developing episodic games for PC with Bone and Sam & Max.

On Thursday, Nintendo launched two new Fire Emblem websites in Japan: one for Fire Emblem: Akatsuki no Megami on Wii and a second site that provides a comprehensive look at the series.

Team behind Elebits brings a brand new adventure to Wii.
On Thursday Konami announced a brand new action/platformer, Dewy's Adventure, made by the same team behind last year's Elebits. IGN reports details on the game in a preview and interview with the producer, but gamers can expect gameplay built around the Wii remote: Dewy is moved by tilting environment using the remote, and Dewy's control over the weather (such as temperature and lightning) is leveraged through the D-Pad and gestures.

According to Next-Gen.Biz, in a quarterly conference call, Electronic Arts confirmed that they'd be putting a lot more efforts towards games on Nintendo's DS and Wii. CFO Warren Jenson had this to say:

Several anticipated games have shown up on the ESRB ratings website.
Games often show up on the ESRB website before they are officially announced. With Virtual Console titles being rated, we can get a glimpse at upcoming titles. Not all games rated by the ESRB see releases, however. For example, the Bit Generations games were rated but never materialized in the US. Additionally, many Virtual Console titles have popped up on the site only to be removed later.

Nintendo has updated their VC list with games coming to Japan in February giving a hint of what might be upcoming for the rest of the world.
Sixteen games have been announced for the month of February in Japan. Most of the games have US counterparts and thus are likely to arrive stateside sometime in the future.
