Konami Announces Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Wii

The Silent Hill series will make its debut on a Nintendo console this fall with Wii specific controls and new features.

Wii MotionPlus Over Responsive According to EA Wii

EA developers that are working with the new peripheral claim that the new technology is so accurate, that it's over responsive at times.

Even though the Wii MotionPlus doesn't have an official release date, it won't stop publisher EA from releasing Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, which support the peripheral, in June.

Nintendo DSi Launches in North America DS

The gaming world rejoices, Nintendo counts its money, and GameStop has a midnight launch party in L.A.

The Nintendo DSi is officially available in North America as of today, and Nintendo had a party at the Universal CityWalk GameStop in Los Angeles to commemorate the occasion. Nintendo Executive VP of Sales and Marketing Cammie Dunaway was there to personally hand a DSi to the first purchaser in line, and the band Gym Class Heroes also made an appearance. The Conduit's Looking Good Wii

High Voltage has one good-looking FPS in the latest trailer.

Sega's latest trailer for The Conduit was released a while back (I actually thought it was up already since it's been sitting on my desktop, but in my old age I must have been distracted by Wheel of Fortune...mmmm Sajak), and it's looking great. This newest clip really shows off what High Voltage is doing in terms of environments and enemies, and shows how you can blow up stuff real good.

Nintendo DSi Launches in Australia and New Zealand

The Aussies and Kiwis already have their hands on Nintendo's newest system.

Nintendo fans in Australia and New Zealand got a special treat today, with the release of the Nintendo DSi in both territories. Nintendo Australia has posted photos of a near-midnight launch party at an EB Games in Melbourne.

The Nintendo DSi is available for $299 AUD and $375 NZD.

New Trailer for Real Heroes: Firefighter Wii

Epicenter releases the GDC 2009 trailer for its upcoming firefighting title.

Epicenter Studios has released a new trailer for its upcoming Real Heroes: Firefighter. Hot off the presses from GDC 2009, this clip shows you running into buildings, dousing flames, and rescuing people from cars.

Iwata Asks : Rhythm Heaven

The latest interview with the Nintendo President is translated just before the game's North American release.

The latest in the Iwata Asks series of interviews is with the team behind Rhythm Heaven (known as Rhythm Tengoku in Japan, and Rhythm Paradise in PAL territories).

The interview has been available for some time on the Nintendo of Japan website, but to commemorate the release of the game in North America it has now been fully translated.

DSiWare Launch Titles Confirmed DS

Launching with the DSi this weekend, the DSi Shop will open with five DSiWare games available for download.

Accompanying the release of the DSi on April 5th, five DSiWare games will be available for purchase from the DSi Shop on the day of launch.

The games announced for North America are WarioWare: Snapped!, Bird & Beans, Brain Age Express: Math, Master of Illusion Express: Funny Face, and Art Style: AQUIA. The same titles will be ready for the European launch two days in advance, with the names of certain games differing slightly.

Kimi to Boku to Ritai Coming To US WiiWare Wii

FYTO's debut title will come to US WiiWare.

Last week Nintendo released two WiiWare games in Japan, one of which was Kimi to Boku to Ritai from game creator Kenji Eno. In a recent 1UP interview, Eno, best known for his work on the Dreamcast horror game D2, acknowledged that his team was localizing the game in English, Spanish, German and French.

Eidos Shareholders Approve Square Enix Takeover

The company's shareholders have voted overwhelmingly in favor of the Square Enix buyout.

During a shareholder meeting, shareholders voted whether or not to allow Square Enix to take over Eidos for $117 Million. Over 85 percent of voters voted in favor of the corporate takeover.

Nintendo Plans Nintendo DSi Enhanced Game Cards DS

Nintendo plans to release a new type of DS game card that works on all DS models, but will take advantage of DSi's hardware features.

Masato Kuwahara, the project leader of the DSi hardware group, confirmed that Nintendo is planning "Nintendo DSi enhanced game cards." These new types of game cards will be playable on all models of the DS. However, if these game cards are played on a DSi, players will be able to enjoy DSi hardware specific features, such as creating textures from photographs that are taken by the DSi camera.

Level 5 is Localizing the Second Title in the Professor Layton Series DS

The CEO of Level 5 confirmed that the company is localizing Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.

Yesterday at GDC, Akihiro Hino, the president and CEO of Level 5, spoke at the session entitled "Level-5’s Techniques to Producing a Hit Game." At the beginning of his speech, Hino showed a list of all the games that Level 5 released; the second game having an official English translation of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.

Super Punch-Out!! Headed to Virtual Console Next Week Wii

The latest Punch-Out!! trailer from GDC 2009 shows off gameplay, iconic music, Disco Kid, and the classic training sequence.

Originally an exclusive to the Nintendo Channel, the latest trailer for Punch-Out!! is shown here.

The trailer contains gameplay footage that shows off four different boxers: Glass Joe, Von Kaiser, King Hippo, and newcomer Disco Kid. It also shows the heroic Little Mac going through training with series staple Doc Louis. Little Mac is also seen in his trademark pink jumpsuit from the original NES classic.

DSi Hardware and Software Trailers DS

Included in Nintendo's 2009 Game Developer's Conference press kit were two DSi B-Rolls. B-Rolls are given out to press so that portions of them can be edited in to video productions.
