Inazuma Eleven 3 Announced for Japan DS

Level-5 announces a new entry in the highly popular Inazuma Eleven brand.

Inazuma Eleven 2 was only released in Japan last October, but that hasn’t stopped Level-5 from announcing a sequel to its latest million-selling title.

Entitled Inazuma Eleven 3: Challenge the World, the game is expected to expand on its predecessor. It is currently pencilled in for an early summer release. The anime series has also been extended for another season, which will keep it going until March 2011.

New 5th Generation Pokemon Revealed

The identities of two recent Pokemon silhouettes have been revealed.

With the next era of Pokemon games being released in Japan later this year, it shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise that new Pokemon are starting to be revealed. Pokemon Sunday revealed a silhouette of the first fifth-generation Pokemon over the weekend, saying that its identity would be announced on February 21st.

Mario Pirate Settles For 1.5 Million Wii

A pre-release leak of New Super Mario Bros Wii will cost a gaming pirate 1.5 million dollars.

A Queensland, Australia man who leaked New Super Mario Bros Wii on the internet a week before the game launched will pay Nintendo 1.5 million dollars in damages. The man, James Burt, 24, was traced by what Nintendo referred to as "sophisticated technological forensics" and was ordered to allow Nintendo access to his email accounts, websites, and web accounts. Burt will also be required to pay Nintendo's legal bill of $100,000.

Blaster Master Sequel Headed to WiiWare Wii

Sunsoft is bringing Blaster Master: Overdrive to WiiWare next Monday.

The game, a sequel to Blaster Master, which was released on Virtual Console last year, is an action-shooting game that takes place after Earth has been infected by a virus. Players jump into the shoes of the biologist Alex and travel around the planet in S.O.P.H.I.A., a powerful four-wheel vehicle, in hopes of ridding the land of the animals that have been consumed by the virus.

Activision has released a new trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. The title, which will be released on the DS, is an adventure game featuring the storyline and characters of the novel and feature film.

Zangeki no Reginleiv Development Lasted More Than Three Years Wii

The MotionPlus action title faced its share of challenges, and then some.

In a recent Iwata Asks interview, producer Hitoshi Yamagami revealed that upcoming Wii action title Zangeki no Reginleiv started development in 2006, before the Wii had even been released.

The game is set to release on February 11 in Japan, giving the title a development life of more than three years. The game is developer Sandlot's first effort on the Wii.

The Grinder No Longer Wii Exclusive, Scheduled for 2011 Wii

High Voltage Software reveals that the once Wii-exclusive shooter will be available on other platforms.

In an interview with IGN, High Voltage Software CEO Kerry Ganofsky and chief creative officer Eric Nofsinger have confirmed that The Grinder, a first-person horror shooter first announced last year, will no longer be a Wii exclusive. The title, which HVS hopes to finish by Halloween 2011, will now be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC as well.
