Internally developed fighting games to feature Marvel superheroes and original EA characters.

Electronic Arts and Marvel Comics have signed a deal for new video games to be published by EA. The games will star superheroes from a pool of about 100 Marvel characters (though probably fewer will actually be included in each game), as well as original EA characters created exclusively for these games. The deal covers fighting games only, a genre EA is certainly not well known for but is perhaps looking to test in the market.

Among the pages and pages of Ubisoft's latest finacial reports, among which include word of increased revenue thanks to Ubi's well-rounded game lineup (which also bagged them a Louie Award), a simple statement from president Yves Guillemot confirms what seemed to be a no-brainer after the original game was released: A Prince of Persia sequel.

Looks like Nintendo has plenty of free GC-GBA link cables to give out, as European copies of the game will have one included, too.

When Capcom basically stunned the gaming media and announced Viewtiful Joe, Dead Phoenix, PN03, Killer7 and Resident Evil 4 exclusively for the GameCube a while back, questions began to rise about just how exclusive these titles would be. Well, after the (supposed) cancellation of Dead Phoenix, Vanessa Z. Schneider's not-so-hot game, and the successful but low-flying Viewtiful Joe, a lot more questions about Capcom's decision arose.

Even after words of encouragement, Nintendo will likely fall short of their sales goals.

Nintendo has announced today that it will cut its year-end profit estimate by 10%, will fall about one million units short of its six million yearly GameCube sales goal, and will be two million shy of its twenty million Game Boy Advance sales target.
