Australia plays catch up to the rest of the world and finally gets the bonus collector's disc.
Well, it looks as though the fabled Legend of Zelda Collector's Disc is making its way to Australia at long last. After months without an announcement, the Collector's Disc quietly popped up in Target's upcoming catalogue (18th - 24th March) as part of a GameCube bundle.
Taking up a quarter of the page on page 19 of the catalogue, the bundle comes with the following items:

Australian golfers had better get their putters prepared!
Nintendo Australia's site has been updated with details on their upcoming "Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour" secret challenges. Although US gamers have experienced similar challenges to these previously in Mario Golf 64 and Mario Tennis 64, this is the first time that a similar hidden competition mode has been added to the local release of the game. In previous titles, the Password Screens were removed.

In a bizzare turn of events, Europe actually gets a game before any other country.
Rare's second Game Boy Advance game that disappeared off the radar for a while, Sabre Wulf, has finally resurfaced. The game is now available in European stores, with it being released in Australia next Friday (the 19th). Bizzarely, no-one's quite sure about the US release, with no solid release date confirmed at this stage.

Looks like the publisher may have a rough road ahead.
Law firm Milburg Weiss has posted a notice on their website to investors who own shares of Activision stock. The investing group Construction Industry and Carpenters Joint Pension Trust for Southern Nevada has filed a complaint against game publisher Activision alleging that the company violated federal securities law. Several officers and directors of Activision have also been individually targeted.

According to the BBC, Sony has already won the next generation console war.
In a story at BBCi, it's being predicted by Informa Media Group that Sony will 30 Million PS3 units by 2010. They put Microsoft at 10M and Nintendo at 5M in that same time frame.
Nintendo currently is in third place behind Microsoft in Europe ... but ONLY in Europe. Nintendo is in second place worldwide.

Hearings continue on whether Nintendo of America must change its policies on preventing seizures.
Last July St. Martinville Mayor Eric Martin brought Nintendo of America to federal court after his son had a seizure, which he claims was triggered by a Nintendo game. According to the family’s claims, Nintendo’s current labels do not adequately warn consumers of the potential dangers of playing their games.
