The Germany office will now be consolidated with the office in Frankfurt.
Nintendo of Europe is closing its headquarters in Großostheim, Germany, and will instead be run out of the Frankfurt office.
The cost-cutting move has left 130 without jobs, according to Eurogamer. In a statement provided to the site, Nintendo of Europe said that the move was to allow more flexibility within the video game business.

All Hoenn starters will now have Mega Evolutions.
New Mega Evolutions for specific Pokémon have been revealed in the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine.
Swampert, Sceptile and legendary Pokémon Diancie all have new Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Mega Swampert retains his type, but now has the Swift Swim ability. Mega Sceptile is now Grass/Dragon and it's ability is Lightning Rod. Diancie's ability and type is currently unknown.

Gotta stream 'em all!
From July 4 through July 6, the Pokémon US National Championships, being held in Indianapolis, will be livestreamed via Twitch.
The stream sessions will cover both Pokémon X & Y, and trading card game matches. Swiss rounds stream on July 5, while top-cut matches and the finals will be streamed July 6. The schedule is as follows, but is subject to change:

Both Wii U and 3DS owners will get to dig in.
The retro-inspired, Kickstarter-funded title Shovel Knight has been finalized for a June 26 eShop release on both Wii U and 3DS, developer Yacht Club Games has announced.
This date only applies to the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Yacht Club says they've been "working through localization and ratings specific to the European region" and hope to have something to announce soon in that regard.

Could we be seeing Nintendo's answer to LittleBigPlanet?
A photo has supposedly leaked out from Nintendo's E3 booth, and has revealed a possible new game entitled Mario Maker.
Judging from the photo provided, the game involves having full control of the assets from the original Super Mario Bros., and being able to make your own levels by placing pits, enemies, blocks, and more wherever you like. It is unclear if they intend to include other Mario titles.

Wii Sports Club will be hitting retail stores in a packaged version containing all five original Wii Sports games, Nintendo has confirmed via press release. Additionally, both Boxing and Baseball will soon be available for download from the eShop to complete the set in digital form.

The deal is golden.
Europe will be getting a New Super Mario Bros. 2 Special Edition 2DS bundle on July 4.
The bundle contains the white and red 2DS with a copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2 pre-installed on its 4GB memory card. On top of that, all the Coin Rush DLC for the game will be pre-installed as well, adding 30 more challenges to the main course. However, no price was included in the details.

The newest entry in the Harvest Moon series is set for a 2014 release.
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is coming to 3DS later this year, according to publisher and developer Natsume.
The Lost Valley, which is being developed internally at Natsume, features a full 3D setting for the first time in the series, allowing players to fully customize their world with whatever crops and flowers they want in their farm.

The game hits North America and Europe the same week, with a couple of goody-laden versions to choose from.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call has been scheduled to come out for the Nintendo 3DS on September 16 in North America, with a European release quickly following on September 19.

Double Fine's playful RPG is set to trick and/or treat on the eShop later this year.
Costume Quest 2 is coming to the Wii U eShop around Halloween, according to developer Double Fine.
It is a sequel to the THQ-published first game, which never came to Nintendo platforms. Costume Quest 2 is a whimsical RPG based around a bunch of kids in an adventure game-like setting. The battle system is reminiscent of Mario RPGs and even features a job system of sorts involving the kids' Halloween costumes.

Set the tone right for Mario Kart 8 by starting up the game as fast as possible.
Nintendo's latest Wii U system update is now available for download.
Headlining this update, Version 5.0.0 U, is the new Quick Start feature. This feature allows users to directly load recently played or recently installed software directly, cutting out the home menu from the loading process.

This game is selling...fast.
1.2 million copies of Mario Kart 8 have been sold worldwide.
A press release brought this news along with the following statement from Reggie Fils-Aime, President and COO of Nintendo of America:
