Nintendo's Camp Hyrule site is finally up, just in time for Registration. To sign up, head over to http://www.nintendo.com/camp at 12:00 PM Pacific time (3PM for people on the East Coast). Yes, that is today.

Registration continues until August 8th at 5PM. Nintendo claims to be allowing all registrants into Camp this year, but it might be a good idea to register early, just in case.

ZED TWO'S PILLAGE

Zed Two Game Design Studio have announced details of their latest project, Pillage.

Pillage is an original, action strategy game where a gang of brave warriors must fight an evil band of creatures and avenge the destruction of their tribe. The game is currently under development for the Nintendo® GameCube™, PlayStation®2 and PC with all versions scheduled for release in late 2002.

The rumors are true: Animal Leader is coming to the US as Cubivore.

Sega of America has confirmed for PGC that the upcoming Skies of Arcadia Legend for GameCube is in fact being developed by Overworks, the Sega developer who created the original Dreamcast game. Point of View Software in California was originally announced as the game's developer, but we now know that they were only porting the PS2 version, which has since been canceled.

During Midway's game presentation today at the Gamers' Day, Midway showed us a quick glimpse of what we should be expecting with fatalities in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Unfortunately, we only got to see two:

1. Head stomp. Opponent is on ground. Player leaps in the air and stomps on head, basically blowing it apart.

No Skies of Arcadia for PS2 while GC version get more than a port!

According to Dengeki Online, Sega of Japan announced on August 1 that they will cease development of Eternal Arcadia Legend (US title: Skies of Arcadia Legend) for PS2. Sega states that the development team will focus on improving the quality of the GC version by adding new elements to the game and more.
