The first trailer of the upcoming WiiWare title features 8-player games and a wealth of options.
Medaverse Studios has released the first gameplay footage of their first WiiWare title, Gravitronix. The trailer mentions that the game uses the Wii Remote or Nunchuk to control the characters on screen, and allows up to eight players to battle each other on one Wii console. Other modes mentioned in the trailer include a 21-level campaign mode and 6 special modes.

Aspyr Media recently released new gameplay footage of their fantasy adventure DS title Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. The footage shows off exploring and battles from a first-person perspective. It also shows the basics of the battle engine, including how to use weapons and items.

The DSiWare application allows you to animate photos with MySims characters.
Today Electronic Arts released MySims Camera, a Nintendo DSi application that allows users to manipulate photos taken with the DSi camera using MySims characters. Players will ultimately have 12 characters to choose from, with the ability to add these characters into photos as they see fit. They can move, crop, rotate, and scale photo elements as well.

Big John Games shows off their impressive-looking DSiWare shooter.
Thorium Wars is an upcoming vehicle shooter being released for DSiWare. This trailer features plenty of footage of the game's impressive 3D engine, showing lots of large mechanized enemies and battles on land, in the sea, and in space.
Thorium Wars is scheduled to release this month.

Some new DS and Wii gameplay footage features sledding plumbers and hedgehogs.
Sega of America has released new gameplay trailers for the DS and Wii versions of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Both trailers show off several of the games in the title, such as Ice Hockey, Bobsledding, and Figure Skating. The Wii trailer also shows how the game supports the Wii Balance Board in the Sled Racing and Bobsledding games.

The spooky DS RPG will arrive just in time for Halloween.
NIS America released a brand new trailer for A Witch's Tale for the DS. In the game you play as Liddell a trainee witch who aspires to be the best witch in the world. Throughout the game you will encounter fairy tale-like characters. Battles are shown in the first person and make extensive use of the touch screen to select skills and cast spells.

Koei released three different gameplay trailer for their upcoming DS game Monster Racers. Players will collect, breed, and raise monsters in order to ultimately enter them in various races.
The first trailer shows how players will pick one of the three starter monsters when obtaining their monster-racing license.

The strategy RPG series finally makes its way to North America on the Wii.
NIS America recently released a new trailer for the strategy RPG Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love. The trailer highlights various features in the game and details that it will ship with two discs. Both discs contain the entire game, however; one disc will feature English voice-overs, while the other will have the original Japanese voice-overs.

Australian game developer Nocturnal Entertainment has announced the impending WiiWare release of their title Flowerworks. The game stars a confused alien named Follie, who crash lands on the planet Elilia while transporting a shipment of flowerworks (flowers that shoot fireworks) for her aunty.

A new kind of quest will have players teaming up with each other via Wi-Fi.
SquareEnix recently announced that Dragon Quest IX will offer a new feature called "Wi-Fi Quest". Wi-Fi Quests are co-operative quests in which players join online and complete them by playing as a team. The quests are assigned by the "World Inn Cooperative" and require large amounts of players to complete.

Players will finally get to meet the Wonderful Wizard on their DS this September.
XSEED Games has announced the release date of the DS RPG The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road. The title will be released on September 29.
Based on the fantasy novels by L. Frank Baum (which also inspired the beloved feature film of the same name), Beyond the Yellow Brick Road will feature classic characters such as Dorothy Gale, The Tinman, and even the Cowardly Lion as they travel the land of Oz in an epic RPG adventure.

The little bomber is going portable.
This week's Famitsu release listing has revealed an upcoming DSiWare Bomberman title from Hudson Soft. Entitled "Itsudemo Bomberman" (roughly translated as "Bomberman Anytime"), it is apparently releasing in Japan in October for 500 DSi Points.
The last new Bomberman game to come to a Nintendo platform was Bomberman Blast, released on WiiWare in September 2008.
