We're not back to full service quite yet this week, but we might have a higher quantity of shadowdrops than usual as certain branches of Nintendo return from a long vacation. We're not looking at double digits yet, though Europe gets there on the strength of an Australian Open tennis game (be sure to help where you can with the devestating wildfires there this Aussie summer).

Later Alligator, the crocodilian point-and-click adventure that released on PC last year, has been confirmed for a 2020 release by Smallbu Animation, the artists of the game.

Notable indie x Nintendo collaboration Cadence of Hyrule received a free software update today in the form of Octavo's Ode, a brand new storyline that lets you play as villain Octavo. This new playable character brings his own weapon and skills, adding even more variety to the Zelda-themed rhythm action.

The ScareScraper is climbing to new heights.

Described as a "game that makes games", Supermash allows players to combine two classic video game genres together for a new, unique experience. The co-op action RPG is launching with full cross-play.

During the Indie World Showcase, Phoenix Labs announced that their co-op action RPG Dauntless will be releasing on Nintendo Switch today with cross-platform play.

The Switch release will come with "Stormchasers", a new content update releasing for free on all platforms. Stormchasers will include a new mission type called Escalation where players will fight monsters back-to-back in an experience that features roguelike elements.

This party-brawler whisks together Mario Party and Overcooked.

One of the multiplayer games announced during today's Indie World presentation, Bake N' Switch is a party-brawler that sees players work as a team to complete cooking-based objectives in a variety of environments. It presents a much more frantic and action-based gameplay loop than Overcooked but also features a PVP mode.
