According to an article in the L.A. Times, American publisher Midway Games may be up for sale to another corporation. The game publisher, which started in the arcade business and gradually phased into the console market, has experienced lackluster performance in 2002, despite some success of its Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance for multiple platforms.

Nintendo of America recently published an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma, Producer and Director of Link’s latest adventure, respectively. TNN Game for Video Kudos

HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - TNN wants to prove it's got game in the awards show business, rolling out the first televised kudofest for the fast-growing video game industry with such over-the-top categories as best all-around badass and best free-for-all carnage.

Watch Nintendo toot its own horn about how well the GameCube and Game Boy Advance sold compared to the Xbox and PlayStation 2.

NEC officials have indicated that they are in talks with Nintendo to make chips for the GameCube's successor.

Bloomberg is reporting today that NEC Corp. is in talks with Nintendo Co. to develop a chip for the GameCube's successor, and compete with Sony's PlayStation 3.

Spokesmen for both companies are denying the talks, but NEC executives who declined to be identified stated that engineers at NEC Electronics Corp. and Nintendo are discussing the possibility of co-developing the new processor.
