Dinoplanet = Star Fox Adventures?

Say it aint so. IGN Cube reports that Consoles France ran a story which claims that Dinosaur Planet has been renamed Star Fox Adventures. The source is supposedly from Nintendo of Europe.

Take this with a grain of salt for now, as the source is unofficial at best. Obviously, the game would... Read more...

Here are some of the more interesting ones...

What is that weird orange/yellowish thing? Looks like maybe Mario jumps onto the green platform, and then that thing lifts him up to the door. Also of note: NCL's page explaining the different game modes seems to clear a few things up about... Read more...

by Max Lake - 3:40 am EST
Source: http://www.planetgamecube.com/media/gen127.jpg

We don't know when to stop but neither does a certain high school student out there...

Yes, the ZeroWing poor grammar inspired madness continues and we keep on fanning the flames. It seems one young fellow somewhere got busted for causing trouble in school and now, ALL SCHOOL's DETENTIONS ARE BELONGING TO HIM. Actually, it looks like the kid could get suspended for "insubordination" (boy, it must stack up quick at his school).

Enix rumors GC

by David Trammell - 8:45 pm EST
Source: IGN Cube's Q&A

Today in IGN Cube's obligatory Q&A update, rather than the usual clarifications of what the GameCube faithful already know, Matt may have spawned a couple of juicy rumors.

Most notably, he reveals that an editorial on Enix will be going up tomorrow with multiple quotes from company officials, and he goes on to state that he feels that GameCube support from Enix is very likley. Keep in mind that he didn't offer any confirmation, official or otherwise, so file this under... Read more...

Amazon: Were there any jokes or scenes that had to be edited out for content late in the development process?

The Train Goes "Chu Chu!" GBA

by Michael Cole - 4:07 pm EST
Source: ST's Chu Chu Advance Page

To celebrate and promote Chu Chu Advance coming to GBA, Sonic Team has cooked up a 25-level demo for the public!

Sonic Team has posted a 25-level demo Shockwave version of Chu Chu Rocket online on its Japanese site. It looks like a good game, but it is entirely in Japanese (and for some reason Babelfish won't work for the directions). You're free to give it a shot, but knowing Japanese is definately a plus--especially... Read more...

There's been speculation about Namco and Gamecube, but now it's official.

Rare grabs more names for Conker

by David Trammell - 2:31 pm EST
Source: IGN Cube

New trademarks hint at Conker's BFD 2.

Ok, so we're a little late with this news... On February 1, 2001, Rare got ahold of two new trademarks: Conker's Other Bad Day, and Grabbed by the Ghoulies. There have been no official comments on this yet, but we can guess a few things from the names. The Conker title is likely a possible sequel (presumably on the GameCube) to Conker's Bad Fur Day. The other name... well, that could be anything really.

RUMOR: Virtual Fighter 4 on NGC? RumorGC

by Max Lake - 2:20 pm EST
Source: Segadojo

Segadojo is starting rumors! Although Virtual Fighter 4 has been listed as a PS2 exclusive, this might not be the case.

RUMOR ALERT! Segadojo just posted a RUMOR that we might be seeing Sega's highly anticipated Virtual Fighter 4 on the Nintendo GameCube. This has already been a long "unspoken" rumor as it has been uncertain whether or not VF4 was really exclusive to PS2. The Seattle Times article goes into depth about the aura at and around Microsoft when it comes to the X-Box project. This is getting out of hand.

I guess this is just a sign of the times. About a week ago, I showed some of my friends the "All Your Base" music video that Ty mentioned here at the Planet.
